The first issue of the magazine was distributed at this year's International Home + Housewares Show and is also available to consumers who visit TheInspiredHome.com, the association's consumer-facing website, where it's f ree if the consumer pays for the cost of mailing it. The digital version is available at TheInspiredHome.com/Journal, and the print magazine will eventually also be distributed on newsstands and bookstores around the country. These were some of the most intriguing things we found in the three exhibit halls. Kitchen Concepts introduced Butterie, a clever all-in-one butter dish with an attached flip-top lid to contain butter smears. Joelle Mertzel invented Butterie when she learned that butter doesn't need to be ref rigerated, she says, and that it will keep for several weeks at room temperature without spoiling. Made f rom shatterproof, BPA-f ree plastic, the butter dish disassembles easily and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Butter does have to be protected f rom odors, however, which the attached lid accomplishes.
