Aftermarket Daily News 8 5 Thursday, November 2, 2017 make sense," Luna says. Before, when Luna and his team were doing handwritten inspections, things were being overlooked, which led to missed sales opportunities. The team had no structure to its ROs and the notes were often unorganized. For example, a repair order might have a note that the vehicle needed bushings and ball joints, but they might be so far apart on the messy RO sheet that the writer might miss it and therefore miss an opportunity for sales. With digital inspections, this is no longer a prob- lem. The ability to receive organized information, take photos and store vehi- cle information has been a major benefit, Luna says. When he's able to show a cus- tomer that there's something wrong with his or her vehicle, the customer is far more likely to agree to the service. Storing photos and information has also helped him with customers who claim AutoVitals (Cont'd. from p. 1) additional damage or issues were caused by work in the shop. For example, if a customer claims there's a new scratch on their vehicle, Luna can show them the photos that were taken when the vehicle was taken in and point out the prior dam- age. Since Luna started using SmartFlow, AutoVitals' digital inspection and work- flow management platform, in 2015, his average repair order has increased $33 from $569 to $602 and his annual sales have grown from $1.6 million to slightly under $2 million. "Take a leap of faith. It's not going to happen in your comfort zone," Luna says. Want to demo digital inspections in your shop, use the simplified inspection sheet and send results by email or text? Kroetch founded the company, Scotchman has remained committed to building high-quality dependable products, providing first- class customer service and believing in the strength of American manufacturing. Founded in 1967, Scotchman intro- duced its industry revolutionizing prod- uct, the 35-ton hydraulic-powered iron- worker, with only six employees. Today, employing almost 80 people, Scotchman manufactures 14 different models of ironworkers, ranging from 45-tons to 150-tons in three distinctive styles, as well as a complete line of circular cold saws. Art left his company in great hands with his son, Jerry. Jerry has been President of Scotchman Industries for 16 years and worked in the company for almost 40 years. Jerry is one of a handful of family members involved in Scotchman. "Currently my brother, brother-in-law, my wife, daughter and son are also part of the business. My dad did an exceptional job laying out what he wanted and we have tried to follow that blueprint," Kroetch said. "We are proud to say that our world- famous ironworkers are still made in small town Philip, South Dakota, USA," said Kroetch. "Our company was found- ed on the principle of providing well- built machinery to help our customers find efficient solutions for their shop needs. Nothing has changed. We take pride in manufacturing quality USA made metal fabricating machines that can be passed down from generation to gen- eration." From the beginning, Scotchman has maintained a reputation of high quality Scotchman Industries (Cont'd. from p. 1) American craftsmanship. Kroetch said, "That could not have been achieved with- out the support and dedication of our excellent team. Every person here plays a very important role in the development of our company. Scotchman Industries, Inc. shall ever remain indebted to the contribu- tions of its employees. Good employees are the foundation of great companies." "We strive to provide good jobs for the area. We have been blessed with many good, hardworking people from the heart of God's country who also believe in quality products and a hard day's work. It is a great feeling knowing that we are doing our part in keeping manu- facturing jobs in America," says Kroetch. Kroetch stated he is proud to cross another milestone in the history of the company and is extremely grateful for the customers who trusted Scotchman as their metal-fab solution for the past 50 years. "Our success story remains incomplete without the support of our customers. Not only have they made us a part of their lives, but also helped Scotchman reach out to the world. Our customers spread the word faster and in a better way than any of our promotional materials could. We cannot thank them enough." Scotchman is looking forward to many more years of serving the metal fabrication industry with a continued commitment to the future of American manufacturing. Classic Tube Unveils Chevrolet/GMC Pickup Truck Fuel Line Kit in Never-Rust Stainless Classic Tube, the world's leading manu- facturer of pre-bent replacement automo- tive tubing, announces that a complete fuel line kit is now available for the pop- ular 1999-2003 Chevrolet and GMC half-ton extended cab pickups, all short- and long-bed models. The 4-piece kit includes fuel feed, return and vapor lines, bent exactly to factory specs with all fit- tings included, complete with rubber hose assemblies. This kit is available as part number CTFRV795853-S. The standard factory steel fuel lines supplied on these trucks have recently been plagued with dangerous corrosion and rust, which could lead to a serious failure. Dirt, road debris, salt and road treatment chemicals become trapped around these critical lines causing the mild steel to deteriorate quickly. This can result in the lines leaking and failing, and it has become a severe safety condition. The solution to this problem is installing 100 percent correct stock replacement fuel lines in stainless steel from Classic Tube. These direct replace- ment stainless steel lines will last indefi- nitely, resisting rust and salt deteriora- tion. Classic Tube manufactures pre-bent replacement brake, transmission and fuel lines as well as brake accessories for most cars, trucks and SUVs. Classic Tube's tubing products are made in the USA, and can be shipped worldwide. For more information, visit www.classic tube.com.
