Aftermarket Daily News Thursday, November 2, 2017 5 4 Deluxe Wheel Company Creates Solution for Modern Whitewall Tire Look Deluxe Wheel Company has created one of the best new products for resto-mod vehicles. What makes a resto-mod so popular is that you take an older car with classic looks, but replace the mechanicals with modern components. You can have the performance and safety of more pow- erful, reliable fuel injected engines, bet- ter handling modern suspensions and the superior stopping power of modern brak- ing systems, but the beauty of the classic original design is maintained. One compromise to the classic design is that you are forced to run larger diameter, modern style wheels if you want the performance of modern big brakes and high performance, low profile tires. So gone is that classic whitewall tire, and the beautifully designed hub- caps, because big brakes and high per- formance tires don't fit within the con- fines of a 15-inch steel rim. Deluxe Wheel Company has a solu- tion for this. Its 20-inch rim has the appearance of a 15-inch steel rim, and also incorporates a section that looks like a 2 ½-inch section of a white- wall tire. Now you can have the looks of original equip- ment whitewall tires and hub- caps, but with the modern performance of big brakes and low-profile, high per- formance tires. When Deluxe Wheel Company released this prod- uct at the 2014 SEMA show, it was awarded a New Product of the Year award. Now your resto-mod can maintain an original, timeless look, and have all the performance of modern rims. There are two current models. The original Full Profile model that replicates a steel wheel and Half Profile design that will work with wider sus- pensions like late model Corvette transplants. A Deep Dish model is about to be released. Three years after its introduction, Deluxe Wheel Company is bring- ing its manufacturing to the United States. It is transitioning so that soon all of its wheels will be manufactured in the USA. What could be better than a classic American car with wheels made in the USA? Tuff Truck Bag is Waterproof and Reliable When you're loading up your truck, you want to make sure you have room for your best friend, cooler and other cargo. The Tuff Truck Bag has ample cargo room to hold anything you'll need for your adventure, but it also leaves space in the bed for other items. Measuring 40 inches wide by 50 inches long and 22 inches tall, this large but lightweight bag can hold almost anything you'd normally haul in your truck, but doesn't consume all of the bed space, so you can still make use of your truck bed. It's a great alterna- tive to and more economical than a bed cover, cap or truck bed canopy. The Tuff Truck Bag has also been designed to fit snugly into any full or mid-size truck bed. The bags can even be used in conjunction with traditional pick- up truck toolboxes to maximize storage space. All Tuff Truck Bags are made from waterproof, heavy duty, non-breathable PVC material and all seams are water- tight sealed using heat fusion welding. Heavy duty metal rings are fused in all eight bag corners in order to easily fasten the truck bag to any truck. Four adjustable bungee cords are included with each Tuff Truck Bag. The Tuff Truck Bag easily collapses to stow when not in use and can be rolled up for storage in the included tote bag. Tough, durable, waterproof and resistant to the elements, the Tuff Truck Bag keeps your luggage and gear safe and dry when in the bed of your truck. The 40-inch opening zips from end to end on the front, with a heavy duty, commercial grade #10 zipper extending around the bag's corners to create a "large mouth" opening. A waterproof, triple-lay- ered, fold-over flap cov- ers the zipper to protect your cargo from water and other outdoor ele- ments. The waterproof and weatherproof Tuff Truck Bag is available in black or tan. It holds 26 cubic feet of space and is easy to install, with set up in under a minute. The Next Big Thing in Reliable Connections With Oetiker's acquisition of Jiffy-tite last year, the two powerhouses created a partnership that has strengthened both company's global capabilities. Every year, more than two billion Oetiker clamps and quick connectors are trusted by the world's leading OEMs. Additionally, Jiffy-tite manufactures 260,000 quick connect fluid fittings from its Western New York facility every day. Both companies are world-renowned for quality, dependability and customer serv- ice, and value the same principles for success. Over the past 75 years, Oetiker has continued to innovate new technologies and create the world's most reliable con- necting solutions. The Swiss company attributes its success, in part, to fostering long-lasting partnerships. "The acquisition of Jiffy-tite aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy to be a global leader for high-end connect- ing solutions in the vehicle industry," said Thomas Meier-Bickel, Chief Executive Officer of Oetiker Group. "Jiffy-tite's highly engineered, applica- tion focused products, especially its quick connects, are an optimal comple- ment to our clamping portfolio, resulting in a broader offering of connecting solu- tions for a wider range of applications to our automotive customers." Jiffy-tite began manufacturing fluid fittings in 1963. Through decades of con- stant dedication to quality, the Lancaster, New York-based company has garnered a sterling reputation as the industry leader in quick connect fluid fittings and con- nectors. Currently, 24 automotive brands across the world depend on Jiffy-tite fluid fittings for transmission and heat exchange applica- tions. Chances are, when serving an automatic transmission, radiator or auxiliary cooler, the OEM used Jiffy-tite fluid fittings. With an unwavering dedi- cation to quality, the company still takes the time to 100 percent leak test each individual fitting. "Our success in North America has earned us a reputation which has opened doors for us overseas. As our business continues to expand, we must adapt to customers who do not live within driving distance of us. Being now part of the global Oetiker Group, I see many growth opportunities for our products, especially in Europe and Asia," said Steve Zillig, former Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Jiffy-tite Group. "Furthermore, as family owned companies, both Jiffy-tite and Oetiker share a tradition of entrepreneur- ship and many common values and attributes, which makes Oetiker even more of an ideal partner for Jiffy- tite." Bringing unsurpassed quality and customer service to the new partnership, Oetiker can now offer customers around the world an even higher level of confi- dence when purchasing quick connect fluid fittings and clamps. With comple- mentary products, Oetiker and Jiffy-tite are now the undeniable authorities in reli- able connections, giving customers peace of mind for mission critical applications. Premier Performance Begins Construction on Idaho Headquarters Expansion Premier Performance, a wholesale dis- tributor of aftermarket automotive parts primarily serving the diesel and off-road segments, announced that the company has begun construction on a project to expand and remodel its Rexburg, Idaho headquarters. The project includes over 4,000 square feet of new office space, the remodeling of existing areas to better suit the company's growth and the addition of a new training center. The state-of-the-art training center includes both a new con- ference room and the addition of an on- site garage and lift for in-house product demonstrations, installations and the pro- duction of video content. "This building has been our home for many years, and it has grown and changed along with our company. We're proud to continue our growth here," said Vice President of Operations Parley Valora, who is responsible for overseeing the construction project. Much of the project is focused on converting existing warehouse space that has been vacant since Premier relocated its Mountain States warehouse to a much larger facili- ty in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2016. Now the company is putting that space to better use. "The most exciting thing we're doing as part of this project is con- structing an all-new Training Center," said Marketing Manager Matt Meehan. "This will be a tremendous asset for our manufacturers, our staff and in turn, our customers. Premier has always prided itself on hav- ing an industry-best technical sales team that knows the parts inside and out, and this project will allow us to take better advantage of training opportunities from our vendors and to pass that knowledge along to our customers. We're going to do a lot of product installations and test- ing in the new garage, and we're going to pack all of that experience into useful, edu- cational content that we can pass along to our customers." The project coincides with the continued growth of Premier Performance, which was started out of Founder Rus Michaelson's Idaho garage in 1999 and now boasts nine warehouses spread throughout both the United States and Canada. "We are very excited about the opportunity to grow in our longtime home base of Rexburg, Idaho," said Valora. For more information, visit booth #21641.
