Aftermarket Daily News 3 1 Wednesday, November 1, 2017 Stage 8 to Hold Prices Steady through 2018 in Response to Natural Disasters Stage 8™, a leading authority on locking fasteners for performance automotive, has announced that it will be absorbing all additional costs and waiving price increases for 2018. The company's reason for this is simple, according President and Founder Bruce Bennett. "The nation has been through so much this year with natural disasters like hurricanes and floods. This is our way of helping people affected by the storms and flooding, by keeping prices down." Pricing on all Stage 8 products will remain the same from now through 2018, said Bennett. Customers are encouraged to contact their local Stage 8 dealer, which can be found with the dealer loca- tor at www.stage8.com. Stage 8 designs effective active mechanical locking systems that prevent even a single degree of fastener loosen- ing rotation. They pro- vide significantly more breakaway torque than any other locking system. Stage 8 has more than 78 patents and trade- marks issued or applied for. Stage 8 has more than 18 million locking systems installed in automotive and industrial applications, and not a sin- gle failure has been reported. Stage 8 technology has consistently delivered measurable increases in equipment relia- bility and safety, and dramatic reductions in maintenance costs. Stage 8 Locking Fasteners install easily and are available in all U.S. and metric sizes. Stage 8's customers develop the material, preload and torque spec- ifications for their fastener applications. It is Stage 8's job to keep them in place. The company's engineering staff is ready to assist you in solving your most critical fastener challenges. Visit Stage 8 at booth #22529. The SATA RPS Rapid Preparation System is a vented system that allows a constant and even flow-rate, for constant color match, and constant film build from a full cup down to the last drop. SATA's vented RPS system is not just used for painting. It is also used for mix- ing with graduations from 1 to 1, all the way to 10 to 1, and everything in between. You can also use it for storage of your leftover un-catalyzed basecoat or other materials when properly labeled. The minimal components of just the cup, lid and strainer make it easy for painters to use, and save cleanup time too. No need for adapters when used on SATA spray guns, eliminating unwanted paint debris which gathers on adapters and in the paint passages of other disposable cup and gun brands. The short fluid passage of the SATA guns, along with the QCC, Quick Cup Connect system has eliminat- ed threads in the fluid passage, making cleanup easy with much less waste. The elimination of any reusable added compo- nents keeps paint work much cleaner too. No dried paint debris falls into paint work like other cup brands, as each time you use an RPS cup, all components are brand new, and sterile. SATA has updated the look of the RPS cup packaging. The package sizes were changed slightly, providing ease and uniformity when stacking and shipping logistics. The new boxes not only have a great new look, but the more glossy surface coating of the box is better suited for humid climates. Another fea- ture – the box has the addition of an easy zipper lid opening; just press your thumb through the marked area and grab the red tab on the side of the case and pull to open the box. No more box knives neces- sary to properly open the box. The lid flips open for access, and closes to keep them clean. The transition from old to new packaging is well under way depending on inventory rotation. SATA RPS is available in three sizes: 0.3 liter (10 ounces), 0.6 liter (20 ounces) and 0.9 liter (30 ounces) for any sized job appli- cation. Depending upon which type of paint you are spray- ing, there are also options of strainers from 200 micron plug in sieves, 200 micron flat sieves or 125 micron flat sieves. The vented RPS cups allow for all of the paint and other materials to be sprayed from the cup. No costly ounces of leftover unused material in an RPS cup. Mix only what you need, and spray it to the last drop. Ask your local SATA dealer for samples or for a demonstration. Dry Time Accelerator Additive for POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating Now you can save valuable time on your POR-15 ® Rust Preventive Coating restoration work without compromising quality results. POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator is an additive specially for- mulated for use with POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating. Dry Time Accelerator is designed to accelerate the cure time of POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating by 30 to 50 percent without affecting the ultimate physical properties. Developed to allow for a more efficient production environment, Dry Time Accelerator reduces recoat and dry time and enables you to move on to the next phase faster, without compromising product performance. The accelerator is added to POR-15 Rust Preventive by volume and should be thoroughly mixed. Once mixed in, typi- cally the cure time of the POR-15 Rust Preventive is reduced by 30 to 50 per- cent. Important: Adding the accelerator drastically reduces the cure time (time you have to apply to your substrate) and under humid and warmer conditions the dry time is significantly quicker. It is recommended to test to ensure your specific needs are met. One 8-ounce bottle of POR-15 Dry Time Accelerator is enough for 32 quarts or 8 gallons of POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating. SE Tools Introduces Air Chuck Caddy Until now, it often took longer to locate an air chuck than to actually use it. That's why SE Tools has developed the Air Chuck Caddy, which stores the chuck by attaching it to any standard air hose with a durable polymer clip. Similar to a utility vacuum's attach- ment storage, the field-tested Air Chuck Caddy increases productivity by storing a small tool attachment at its point of use. This prevents misplacing the attach- ment, ensuring it's always at hand when needed, and saving space in the toolbox. The Air Chuck Caddy, which SE Tools is releasing this month, aims to save time, steps and frustration for thou- sands of professional technicians who regularly use an air hose with an inflator chuck, blow gun or other interchange- able attachments. The Caddy is recom- mended for technicians at tire and service centers, as well as at farm and lawn equipment centers, and mobile technicians in wreckers and emergency road vehicles. The patented Air Chuck Caddy should appeal to those working at con- struction sites, drivers of off-road vehi- cles, do-it-yourselfers and those looking for a great gift or stocking stuffer. Multiple Air Chuck Caddies can be clipped to a single air hose; SE Tools is also selling an Air Hose Caddy 5-pack. SE Tools is a family-owned manufacturer of quality hand tools in Lapeer, Michigan. For more than 80 years, SE Tools has been developing custom fixtures and award-winning tooling, based on industry knowledge, ingenuity, integrity and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
