Produce Show Daily Friday, October 20, 2017 4 Bella Sun Luci: Staying on the Cutting Edge of Cuisine Mooney Farms has pioneered the sun dried tomato industry since 1987, and is still leading the way with a new interac- tive website and exciting marketing activities. In keeping up with today's eat- ing trends and consumer demand, Mooney Farms has newly designed the company website. Bellasunluci.com edu- cates customers about the exciting health benefits associated with eating sun dried tomatoes, explains the Mediterranean diet and offers many new exciting recipe ideas and food videos. Keeping the brand fresh and engaging for millennial home cooks, the art director has added micro recipe videos to the site, which teach viewers how to recreate all of the simple and delicious ideas the corporate chef prepares in Mooney Farms' Tuscan kitchen. These new videos on both Facebook and YouTube have attracted new customers of all ages. Mooney Farms' Facebook page alone has grown to 35,000 followers and continues to climb every day. Mooney Farms attrib- utes this success to posting an exciting new idea, recipe or video each day so viewers can get inspiration throughout the year. Every jar of Mooney Farms' product also includes a full color recipe booklet that changes season- ally featuring healthy ideas for consumers to prepare at home. These recipe booklets also announce the Annual National Recipe Contest where fans can send in their personal creations featuring one or more of Mooney Farms' products, with the opportunity to win one of its fabulous prizes. The contest runs year round and concludes July 1 when Mooney Farms' corporate chef helps narrow down the finalists and starts preparing the dishes. The Snoboy Triple-Inspected Produce Advantage: It's In the Field For fresh produce brand Snoboy, it's all about having people in the fields to work with its growers to verify quality and availability on your behalf every step of the way. This presence allows product to be triple inspected prior to your customer receiving it. "We are source-based, meaning we are on the ground actually looking at everything we pack in Snoboy," said Jim Richter, President. "We can verify the quality of the product available from our growers first hand prior to harvest, dur- ing harvest and when it ships, which makes a huge difference to our cus- tomers." "Our people in the field are experts on the produce grown in their area," said Richter. "They keep a close eye on local market conditions and the quality in the field, which allows them to best match customers' needs and expectations to the product." "A lot of Snoboy's competitors con- duct business with the growers from only one region and cover other areas strictly by phone. If you're not in the fields in every area, you can't verify the true qual- ity of the prod- uct," Richter said. Snoboy has solved this issue with its quality assurance asso- ciates in the field. Having representatives at the source in every major growing area in the U.S. gives Snoboy a major advantage in the competitive produce marketing arena. Snoboy offers customers a true inde- pendent voice from the best growing areas in the U.S. and can do all the work of finding the best quality and deals for customers.
