8 GENERAL NEWS KITCHENWARE NEWS & HOUSEWARES REVIEW n JUNE 2017 n www.kitchenwarenews.com StoreBound, the company that launched PancakeBot, Laundry POD, MatchStick Custom Candles and the Dash line of healthy appliances, is accelerating the pace of innovation this year. By all accounts, 2016 was a successful year for StoreBound. The company launched several new innovations, expanded its retail distribution and appointed several strong players to key positions within the company to ensure that it is positioned to manage the continued expansion. "We're coming off another strong year of growth and are extremely encouraged by the consumer demand for our innovative products and healthy messaging," said Evan Dash, CEO and Founder of StoreBound. "For 2017, we are going to dramatically ratchet up the pace of innovation that we bring into the market." Gatorade is launching an organic line, Panera committed to replacing all its ingredients with clean food and cooking at home is suddenly cool again. All signs indicate that 2017 promises to be a banner year for products that align with the mega- trend of health and wellness. With healthy living top of mind, the Dash brand is taking the lead on the countertop — helping consumers eat better at home with products that deliver on the company 's message to "unprocess your food." "Our goal is to make cooking easier and more accessible — we're in it to win hearts," said Dash. Smaller home furnishings, like the compact Mini Maker or Sport Blender, help first-time home buyers and downsizing homeowners cook quality meals. Those products, and much more, are set to multiply. StoreBound's launches this year will include more than 20 new products. Notable introductions include the Dash Rapid Cold Brew System, a cold brew coffee maker capable of making perfect cold brew in minutes instead of hours. Quality cold brew takes 12–20 hours, but the rapid system shortens the brew time to under 15 minutes, in a sleek, modern design. The company also introduced the Sobro Coffee Table this year, marking StoreBound's first lifestyle furniture product that will chart a new course for how consumers interact with furniture. With a ref rigerated drawer, LED lights, touch controls, Bluetooth speakers and USB charging ports, the Sobro is designed to support connected lifestyles. Another addition to the Dash brand is the Kitchen Couture sandwich press, a 700-watt press that makes diamond-shaped sandwiches grilled to perfection in minutes. "Since the inception of the company, we've put a tremendous emphasis on building a portfolio of intellectual property and working to incorporate proprietary technologies into the next generation of home products," said Dash. "In addition to the innovations launching this year, we've also devoted significant bandwidth to working directly with key retailers to help them launch distinctive and exclusive products that will help to set them apart in the marketplace and provide competitive advantages that the national brands can't provide," said Glenn De Stefano, StoreBound President. "Our business unit is comprised solely of ex-retailers making us uniquely pisitioned to meet the needs of our retail partners with a deep understanding of the challenges they face in an ever-changing retail landscape."
