Hardware & Housewares Review 3 7 Thursday, May 11, 2017 Additionally, the company is 100 percent vertically integrated which provides internal efficiencies, ultimately saving our customer money and time. Our cus- tomers have the freedom to manufacture at low volumes and/or high volumes so they can grow and scale their business as needed without having to sit on too much inventory – a value they can't get from working with overseas manufacturers. HHR: Tell our readers about your back- ground. GB: My background is mechanical engi- neering with experience in consumer product design and manufacturing. They also call me an ideas man – I like to solve problems I encounter and develop solu- tions. The high cost and long lead time of getting a physical product to the market is what led me to open the doors of BeraTek. HHR: What is product design and why is it important to business owners? GB: Product design can range from a consumer product design all the way to a process design. It is the way a product looks, feels, functions and provides value to a customer. Innovative product design should be important to business owners BeraTek Industries (Cont'd. from p. 1) because it is what will separate them from the competition. HHR: You have successfully launched several BeraTek products. What distin- guishes BeraTek products in the market- place? GB: BeraTek products are made in the U.S.A. Iowa, to be specific. When I opened the doors of BeraTek, my vision included producing and launching multi- ple products with a reduced time to mar- ket and low manufacturing costs. I've made the investment in high-tech manu- facturing equipment and an educated team with the goal of keeping manufac- turing in the U.S.A. HHR: What is best the advice for turning an idea into profit? GB: If you have an idea you want to turn into a product, the biggest thing you can do is to take action. I recommend getting your idea out there quickly without over- thinking your product or brand. Just get going. You will learn along the way. If you have questions, give us a call and we can help guide the way. For more information, go to www.beratekindustries.com or email info@beratek-industries.com. technology of wet/dry vacuums. Apart from having three differ- ent size room space heaters, we have developed two unique features that are now patent pending. First, a drill-less mounting system called Ezymount, and secondly, the patent pending Heatguard system. HHR: What distinguishes your products from the competition? PV: We are the only company to offer three different sizes, and we intro- duced the 100 watt under-desk space heater for office applications. We were the first to offer a heat reflector for all sizes. Each and every panel is hand finished and heat-tested, and triple insulated for electrical safety. Two models are offered in each size room heater – the base model and Heatguard model. We are distinguished from the competition by our patent pending Heatguard system, which provides additional protection against hot sur- faces, provides a second layer of con- vection and can be custom decorated to beautify the room, as well as our patent pending Ezymount system, sold sepa- rately. With this system, there is no Amaze-Heater (Cont'd. from p. 4) need to drill holes in the wall for mounting the heater on the wall. No tools are needed and it installs in less than five minutes. We are also intro- ducing a plug-in type, programmable thermostat that will work with all sizes of Amaze-Heaters. HHR: What are the advantages of this type of heater? PV: The heaters can save up to 50 per- cent on home heating costs. They are easy to install – all required hardware is provided. They're ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers, triple insulated for elec- trical safety and are safer for children, elders and pets. HHR: What is the nature of your distri- bution? PV: We have a warehouse in Orlando, Florida, and we have the ability to drop-ship our products to anywhere in the continental U.S. in any quantity, from single heaters to master cartons or pallet loads. For container loads, the product will be shipped to our customer directly from India. Visit Amaze-Heater LLC at booth #4336. In 2015, Franmar rebranded our entire line, bringing all the products under the name BLUE BEAR. Now SOY•Gel is known as BLUE BEAR Paint & Urethane Stripper. It's the same product, but now all of our products ben- efit from brand recognition and reputa- tion. One of the most exciting advance- ments that we have made along the line is the introduction of BLUE BEAR Lead Paint Remover. This patented sys- tem combines a powder that is mixed with a stripper to render the lead in older paints insoluble, which removes the danger to the environment and the Franmar (Cont'd. from p. 4) home. We are the only manufacturer who is able to bring this product to market, and it is changing the way homeowners and professionals deal with lead paint. Both BLUE BEAR Paint & Urethane Stripper and BLUE BEAR Lead Based Paint Stripper are easy to use. Both are gelled and will adhere to horizontal and vertical surfaces while they work to lift the paint from the sur- face. Simply apply and let the stripper do its work and scrape the old coating off when it is loose. Clean up with BLUE BEAR Cleaner & Degreaser (a TSP replacement) prior to your next coating. OASIS CONCEPTS INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE LINE OF FOLDING KITCHEN ISLANDS & NEW PRODUCTS A folding kitchen island and other brand new storage products built based on a patented precision-hinge folding mecha- nism are now available for sale by Oasis Concepts. The X-Large Flip & Fold Island is one of the most popular models. It opens up to 42 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 36 inches high. It has a stainless steel top and frame, with one solid hardwood shelf. The other popular model is the Flip & Fold Island, which opens up to 30 inches by 20.5 inches by 36 inches high. The top and shelf are both made of solid hardwood and the frame is made of stainless steel. Both of these models come with four lockable wheels. When not in use, they can be folded up to just 5 inches thick for easy stow-away. "Nowadays, the kitchen is a space that can be used for entertaining guests and a place for the family to come togeth- er and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen island becomes very important because it provides a social space in the home where everybody hangs out. Some homes now even have double islands: a work island and a social island," said Kelvin Ng, President of Oasis Concepts. It is important for a kitchen to achieve a balance between the social and function- al aspects as well as being aesthetically pleasing. The two Oasis Flip & Fold Islands can provide that balance. Meals can be prepared on these islands and clean up is relatively easy. It is also a place that everyone in the family can meet to chat or use the internet. Besides, the Oasis islands are good looking and are of high quality. "Besides the kitchen, the Oasis Flip & Fold Islands can be used in every room in the home. For serving, laundry, crafting, out- door barbecue, setting up computers and print- ers in home offices, or for TVs and audio visual equipment in your living room," Ng added. "With the four wheels, it can be highly mobile, but locked down if necessary when needed to stay in place." Besides kitchen islands, Oasis Concepts has added a new line of racks and baskets good for storage and organization.
