It is believed that this lava, along with the year-round snow and ice of the Himalayas, has protected the salt from pollutants. The product is Hi- malayan Salt – the world's purest salt made entirely by Mother Nature, containing a high mineral content, low sodium content and nat- urally rich in iodine (so no artificial addition is required). The Herbal Salt blend, in conjunction with other high-end certified organic herbs – some common, like rosemary and oregano, and others exotic, like saffron – combine to create a synergy of flavor that will enhance any meal and create a memorable taste ex- perience. Ingredients are sourced from only a handful of trusted and certified organic suppliers. This careful sourcing strategy ensures that only the finest products reach customers. The packaging, like the spices, is also carefully sourced. A tin container guarantees convenient and air-tight storage. Yorganics (Cont'd. from p. 1) Know your Market The first step to getting your product into the consumer's hands is to know your market. What are your target audience's needs and wants? If you have a food product, does your customer want a microwavable single serve cup for on-the-go convenience? Does your customer want family size or multi-pack op- tions? When selecting packaging materials and designing graphics, consider what your competition is doing and how your packag- ing sets your product apart. Create Attractive Graphics with Shelf Appeal A well-designed package communicates all necessary information and branding with eye-catching graphics that can influence a consumer's buying decisions. Is your logo paramount to your branding? What colors are most attractive? Will photography help sell your product? Be bold with key infor- mation on the front of the package and uti- lize the back to provide additional information to enhance the consumer's ex- perience. Build a Positive, User Friendly Experience Packaging needs to be user friendly and functional for both the consumer and retailer. The package should protect the product, offer ease of use, include clear instructions and have key information prominent. In some instances, packaging graphics may in- clude games, recipes or a short story about the product or company to further connect with the target audience. Consider offering point-of-purchase displays to further in- crease sales. Work with Professionals Partner with an experienced packaging man- ufacturer who can provide invaluable insight on material and printing options. Work with a graphic designer familiar with packaging structures. For the best printing results, have the designer work directly with the packag- ing manufacturer to create and set up the graphics appropriately. Proofread Carefully Depending on the product, the packaging may need specific consumer information to comply with health and safety regulations. For instance, packaging for a food product may have a Nutrition Facts label, ingredi- ents, allergen statement, net weight and a barcode. Double check that the content, text size and barcode meet requirements to keep your product in the marketplace. When utilizing functional and attractive creative packaging, complete with required information, you can stay ahead of your competition with a product and package that is designed to sell. Celebrating more than 25 years of experi- ence and innovation, Interpress Technologies is a leading food packaging manufacturer specializing in formed paperboard contain- ers, wrapped cups, printed sidewalls and folding cartons with high impact graphics. Both as food ingredients and stand-alone products, the delicious, nutty nutrition of the hemp heart, along with omega-packed hempseed oil and nourishing hemp protein powder, are gaining in popularity every day. We offer a complete supply chain and private label solution for sourcing top quality, competitively priced, organic and conven- tional bulk hemp food ingredients. GN: What type of ingredients to you produce? KF: We produce hulled hempseed, cold- pressed hempseed oil and hemp powders (50 percent, 33 percent and 23 percent). Our cus- tomers include functional food, cosmetic, hemp food retail brands and nutraceutical companies that make anything from protein smoothies and cereals to pet food and body care. HPS processes hemp grain in its state- of-the-art, high capacity and dedicated hemp-only facilities. Our processing facili- ties adhere to the standards for food quality and safety as per the FFSC 22000, kosher, Certified Organic and non-GMO protocols. GN: What sets HPS apart from other hemp food processors? KF: Several factors make HPS the premier hemp food processor. Our ownership/man- agement team is comprised of professional agronomists possessing more than 75 years of cumulative expertise in industrial hemp breeding, hemp grain variety development, hemp production management and bulk hemp food ingredient processing. Because we know quality starts in the field, HPS farmers use top quality pedigreed seed sourced from our sister company Hemp Genetics International, and we work closely with those farmers to provide them with a comprehensive and customized hemp production support system and on- site visits. This combined vertically inte- grated hemp production expertise along the entire value chain results in bulk hemp food ingredients of outstanding quality, color, taste and value. In early 2017, we opened a brand new state-of-the-art hempseed dehulling facility named Mid- lake South, which increases our overall processing capacity to 80,000 pounds per day for hulled hempseed. Finally, our cus- tomers appreciate that HPS never competes with the brands we serve; we are a brand supplier, not a retail brand. Our motto says it all: "From our fields to your brand!"
