AZ: This year at CES is a special one. We are proud to announce that our auto- levitating HiFi speaker Mars by Crazybaby won Best of Innovation in Home Audio/Video components. We will also unveil Air by Crazybaby, our revolu- tionary true wireless earbuds that received the Honoree award and raised over $2.3 million through our crowd- funding campaign. Finally, we will launch the world's first telescopic WiFi speaker Luna by Crazybaby with multi- room functionality and a customizable color wheel. CEDN: How do these products shake up the industry? AZ: All of our products offer industry firsts. Our true wireless earbuds, Air by Crazybaby, incorporates carbon nano tube technology which is a major indus- try breakthrough. It will allow Air to have a more comfortable, ergonomic design while looking, feeling and most importantly sounding spectacular. Mars by Crazybaby is the world's only auto-levitating Bluetooth speaker that offers HiFi sound, wireless charging, portability and an award-winning design. It sounds as good as it looks and we believe these are just some of the reasons it received the Best of Innovation award here at the show. Luna by Crazybaby also offers several industry firsts. With its telescoping 'Eye,' it can create additional space inside the speaker necessary for air flow, premium sound and reduced vibration. It also includes Meshnet technology that allows up to 32 devices to be paired together at once and a Party Mode that gives multiple phones access to Luna at the same time to share the DJ controls. CEDN: Why did you create Crazybaby? AZ: Music is part of my everyday life. I'm an audiophile at heart with a passion to design and innovate. I saw a need in the marketplace where many audio prod- ucts were falling short. Some of these products offered either good sound qual- ity, cool design or an affordable price, but none were delivering on all three. I want- ed to bring the consumer a premium product that they could afford and be proud to own. Since that time, we have strived to innovate visu- ally captivating products at a low cost with an unparalleled listening experience. CEDN: Why the name Crazybaby? AZ: I've always admired a certain quote from Steve Jobs: "the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." Crazy. The word baby comes from watching my own children explore the world with curiosity and without boundaries. Baby. BEING SMART ABOUT PROTECTING YOUR SMARTPHONE An interview with Vadim Abramov, Senior Distribution Manager, Ghostek. CEDN: What makes Ghostek unique when it comes to buying a case for your smartphone? VA: Our model at Ghostek is to provide affordable cases that are slim and attrac- tive, yet durable enough to withstand even the most rugged conditions. For instance, our waterproof cases use IP68 protection, which protects against dust and deep water submersion. The TPU sil- icon rubber cases have a thick frame, ensuring drop-resistance. VA: We sell three models of cases: the Cloak, the Covert and the Atomic series. The Cloak and Covert cases are designed to be extra slim, keeping the smartphone protected while showing off each device's unique design. The Atomic series is the slightly thicker waterproof option. In addition to cases, we sell a variety of other products, such as head- phones, chargers and gear. One product that we're particularly excited about is the NRGbag, a durable, water-resistant laptop backpack with a 7000mAH removable battery, available in five col- ors. It includes USB cables for charging a variety of devices, including laptops, tablets and smartphones. The next ver- sion will have a solar panel built in for charging purposes, making it a fantastic option for those who love the outdoors without being discon- nected. CEDN: How do you keep loyal cus- tomers at Ghostek? VA: Having excellent customer service is something that separates us from our competitors. When people get customer service that goes above and beyond, they tell their friends, who in turn become new customers. CEDN: What's involved in creating a great brand? VA: We've been around for five years building a name for ourselves in this mar- ket. The biggest part of building our brand is by delivering products that get great reviews from our customers. We also build a unique brand identity by cre- ating a fun narrative. We treat our cus- tomers as though they're secret agents, like James Bond or someone from the CIA. Our customers then seek out the perfect accessory to protect their phone and maintain an "air of undetectability" while they're on a mission.
