Aftermarket Daily News Wednesday, November 2, 2016 3 4 GREAT DAY, INC – AMERICA'S PREMIER GUN RACK MANUFACTURER Great Day, Inc. is probably the most ver- satile manufacturing business in history – currently, the product line includes over 100 items. Within that extensive line of products is a group of gun racks that share a common characteristic – an ingenious design protected by an air-tight patent (D734,957S). In the history of transporting firearms in vehicles, never has a gun rack incorporated so many important features. Using Great Day's "Opposing Forces" technology, the CenterLok Gun Rack for pickup trucks, SUVs and autos installs in just five min- utes with no drilling or bolting required. The QuickDraw does the same for the Jeep Wrangler – one of America's favorite off-road vehicles. With the ever-increasing criminal and terrorist activities in the U.S. and the world, quick access to firearms for self- protection has become critical. No other manufacturer is working harder than Great Day to make that possible. The clever design of the CenterLok positions two firearms snugly against the headliner of the vehicle – totally out of sight of passersby. For the average citizen, having a CenterLok Gun Rack fully armed and ready for use according to state and federal laws and the rights extended by the Second Amendment could be his or her first line of defense for protec- tion. In the past, the firearms market has been mainly focused on developing and perfecting hand guns and rifles for recreational purposes. Today, most gun owners place a great deal of importance on how firearms might perform if forced to be used for self defense. Great Day's goal is to provide the best trans- portation and access to firearms regard- less of their use. For the firearm dealer, Great Day's line of gun racks for pickup trucks, SUVs, Jeeps, autos, off-road utility vehicles or ATVs adds a new dimension of sales. A wise retailer will recognize and capitalize on changing markets. The winds of change are blow- ing in the firearms industry – the gun rack category is sure to benefit. Great Day is sure to lead the way! See the complete line of Great Day gun racks at booth #38123. KEEP YOUR CARGO DRY WITH THE TUFF TRUCK BAG An interview with Philip Dozier, President, Tuff Truck Bag, Inc. ADN: What is the Tuff Truck Bag? PD: It's an easy to use 100 percent water- proof cargo bag made specifically for a pickup truck bed. The user rolls it up and stows it when they aren't using it so they can still have full use of their truck bed. It only takes a minute to roll out and set up, and it's very easy to load with your luggage or cargo. Zip up, and hit the road. ADN: How did you come up with the Tuff Truck Bag? PD: We live close to the Gulf of Mexico, and during the summer months there is usually rain every afternoon. Being close to the coast, we go to the beach – a lot – and I got tired of placing my luggage into trash bags to keep dry. I called my oldest son, Tim, and asked him if there was a cargo travel bag that fit a truck bed, and he did the research to show that no, there was not. So we got to work designing and inventing the bag. ADN: How long it take to invent? PD: This was back in 2008/2009, so prob- ably about a year. Tim did the digital illus- trations and product designs figuring out how the bag would work and measure in a bed (we wanted it to fit any mid or full size bed), and then we made the first bag out of awning mate- rial. It was pretty heavy. ADN: When did you realize you had a great product? PD: Probably when we really finalized materials and began selling the early bags. We strive to have great customer service, so we would ask our customers about how they felt about the Tuff Truck Bag. We got a lot of input from them, as well as photos and video on them using the bags, but most importantly they would tell us about how much they liked the product. I knew then we had something. The best part has been making this jour- ney with my two sons and family friends. We're very proud of our product, but the journey here has been just as good, maybe better. ADN: You have the patent, correct? PD: Yes, we do have the patent on the product. We received that in October of 2013, and really that's when things start- ed picking up. In 2014, we added a National Sales Manager to our team and saw our largest growth that's continued into 2015. For sales information, call 205.492.5027, email jason@tufftruckbag.com or stop by booth #38173 at the SEMA Show, located in South Hall Upper with trucks, SUVs and off-road vehicles.
