GENERAL NEWS 6 KITCHENWARE NEWS & HOUSEWARES REVIEW n JUNE 2016 n www.kitchenwarenews.com Tennessee Stone & Design Unveils Portable Brick Pizza Ovens Nashville-based Tennessee Stone & Design has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help bring mobile brick ovens to chefs in backyards, food trucks, campgrounds and more, all across America. TNSD's line of outdoor cooking products has been made to allow any backyard chef to turn their outdoor table, round kettle grill or outdoor kitchen bay into a fully- functional, commercial-grade brick pizza oven. Their flagship product, the Relic Oven, is both portable and modular, made from advanced one-of-a-kind materials, and built in-house by TNSD's trained craftsmen. "After years of designing, testing, prototype-building and sleepless nights, we have our designs and manufacturing process to the point we are ready to move into higher volume production," said B.T. Ulrich, president and founder of TNSD. To get the Relic Oven and other products into the hands of brick oven chefs around the world, TNSD will need to build and install manufacturing equipment necessary to manufacture products on a larger scale. "We will also hire and train the craftsmen who enjoy making our products as much as we hope backyard and commercial chefs will enjoy using them," Ulrich said. "That is why we have started this Kickstarter campaign." The campaign runs until June 20, 2016, offering deep discounts, personalized limited edition products, giveaways and opportunity to help design future products. The Relic's design allows quick set up on both flat outdoor surfaces or on a favorite 22'' grill, bringing the joy of brick oven cooking to new places and new audiences. TNSD is also releasing other cooking products, such as ultra-durable baking stones, custom grill mounts for grills and outdoor kitchens, pizza peels, stone coasters and more. Future designs that re-imagine other classic grill and oven designs with TNSD's ultra- durable materials are also underway. More information can be found at tn- sd.com/kickstarter/.
