O s e r C o m m u n i c a t i o n s G r o u p L a s V e g a s W e d n e s d a y , A p r i l 2 0 , 2 0 1 6 AN INDEPENDENT PUBLICATION NOT AFFILIATED WITH NAB NUGEN Audio announced the launch of three new versions of its industry-leading ISL 2 true peak limiter, developed in response to music and production industry require- ments for delivering content compliant with loudness normalization. The new versions include ISL 2st and ISL 2st DSP, designed specifically for music production and other applications that require only mono or stereo content, and ISL 2 DSP to boost system power and streamline workflows for Avid Pro Tools HDX users requiring full 5.1 and 7.1 functionality. "Online platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, DAB radio, YouTube and others have all recently begun normalizing content loudness. True peak compliance is essential in preparing all audio for loudness normalization because it prevents the distortion that often results from the codec conversions required to deliver audio on online platforms," said Jon Schorah, Creative Director, NUGEN Audio. "By offering an expanded range of choices for true peak limiting in music, television and film production, NUGEN Audio is reinforcing its leadership position in the industry-critical area of loudness management. For producers, the net result is unprecedented efficiency in loudness workflows – and end users benefit from a significant increase in audio quality and dynamics." ISL 2st and ISL 2st DSP for Stereo Loudness Normalization NUGEN Audio's new ISL 2st true peak limiter was developed in response to fast- growing demand for a highly robust, transparent solution from the company's profes- sional music production clients. Priced at an accessible entry point for the broader music production community, ISL 2st is a stereo-only version of the company's award- winning ISL 2 solution. BMS designs and manufactures a portfolio of leading edge technology systems that serve a diverse, high quality customer base. The company's reputation for both indus- try-leading products and premier customer service has established BMS as among the market leaders in the broadcast microwave video industry and in the high- growth UAV market. This year at NAB, BMS is excited to introduce its license-free COFDM wireless video assist systems, which include the transmitter, antennas, hand-held receiver/monitor and accessories – everything needed to provide robust long range live video coverage. The system provides a long range, live broad- cast quality view of what the camera is capturing, and COFDM means the wireless link is reliable in the worst conditions. The BMS 5.8GHz Video Assist Camera Kit pairs a license-free NT5723MH trans- mitter with its advanced Carry-Viewer 4 (CV4) digital touchscreen receiver/monitor along with all the accessories needed to offer a complete broadcast quality wireless solution – fully license-free – for covering any live video assist application. BMS professional wireless video solutions don't compromise image quality, laten- cy or reliability. BMS's proven COFDM technology can be relied on to deliver when quality live production video is essential, even in the most challenging environments. With easy configuration and simple attachment to any professional camera, BMS links Alive Telecom, based in the Chicago, Illinois area, manufactures RF Equipment, spe- cializing in antenna transmission systems. Alive is poised to expand for the broad- cast repack and continue new developments to support the broadcast industry as it migrates to new uses for the spectrum. Alive offers VHF and UHF low power to high power (60kW) pylon coaxial slot style antennas in horizontal, elliptical or circular polarization as a side or top mount configuration. Broadband options include panels, cavity slot and super turn-style antennas. Alive allows the cus- tomer to choose between pressurization options. Alive has demonstrated for 15 years the ability to offer engineered solutions for every customer need. Alive uti- lizes traditional design techniques and advanced computer simulation for both mechanical and electrical performance evaluation. The practices developed over the years allow Alive to reduce lead time on high power antennas. Alive recently launched a new web-based app that allows broadcasters and consultants to gener- ate real-time system specifications. The app allows access of required data and summary on your PC, tablet or even your phone. Time will be of the essence as the repack begins, and the Alive Spec Generator will be a valuable time saver tool for the industry. Products featured at the Alive booth #N1125 include: ATC-BCSE – Elliptically polarized cavity slot antenna, a UHF wide band antenna option that allows multiple pattern configuration at various elevation gains and beam tilt SKB Corporation has developed an inno- vative line of ATA Removable Shock Racks that will revolutionize the way you travel and protect delicate electronics and guitar amps: the 3i-2217-82U (2U), 3i- 2217-103U (3U) and the 3i-2217-124U (4U) Fly Racks. The internal Fly Rack frames are made in Orange, California and are built of high strength, lightweight aluminum alloy and 11 gauge hot rolled carbon steel rack rails – the same shock rack cages found in SKB Military-Grade shock racks. Each internal rack contains front and rear steel rack rails with a 13-inch rack depth. ABS plastic covers the top and bottom of the removable shock rack for added protection when the rack is out of the case. The rack frame will easily fit into SKB's iSeries case that is protected by high quality PE foam that provides space for protruding knobs and buttons as well. iSeries watertight cases are lightweight and under 62 linear inches, keeping them from being oversized – the perfect solution when flying or shipping delicate equipment. The Fly Racks are less than half the weight of standard shock racks. SKB's ATA Fly Racks are housed in iSeries cases that are molded of ultra-high- strength polypropylene copolymer resin, with a gasketed, water and dust proof sub- mersible design (MIL-C-4150) that is resistant to corrosion and impact damage. The cases include stainless steel molded-in hinges, TSA acceptable trigger release latches, comfortable snap-down rubber over-molded cushion grip handles and an automatic ambient pressure equalization valve (MIL-STD-648C).
