A f t e r m a r k e t D a i l y N e w s F r i d a y, N o v e m b e r 6 , 2 0 1 5 1 2 A PICTURE'S WORTH A THOUSAND … DOLLARS? Who would you believe: someone who told you a story, or someone who showed you a picture of something? They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Are your service advisers mak- ing the mistake of trying to explain a recommended job by waving their arms as they describe a problem over the phone? It's time to enter the digital age. Imagine an inspection report that you could send to your customers, com- plete with pictures of their vehicle's problem areas. Your service adviser can then review the report with the customer and let the pictures speak for themselves. The number of pictures your technicians take can directly correlate to an increase in ARO. AutoVitals' Proven Best Practices 1. Take at least five to six pictures per inspection. AutoVitals sees a correlation between ARO and the number of pictures taken up till about 10 pictures, then ARO plateaus around 10 images per inspec- tion. 2. Document any problem areas in detail, and if necessary, have the service writer highlight and circle problem areas so it is very clear to the customer what you are talking about. 3. Before and after pictures are extreme- ly helpful. They give the customer some- thing tangible to see and feel good about their decision to spend money on car repairs. 4. Take one picture of an item that looks fine on their car to show the customer you are doing a thorough inspection, further your credibility and add a posi- tive note for the service writer to touch on when they review the inspection results with the customer. But Don't Take AutoVitals' Word For It "AutoVitals SmartFlow and Retention gives me the most cutting-edge tools to further build our business and gain the trust of customers in an 'I'm gonna get screwed' industry. The entire AutoVitals staff is truly amazing and dedicated to continuously evolving the product line by consistently engaging with the users in multiple platforms, forums and work- shops." Sara Savio, Shop Manager, Advanced Auto Center (Sacramento, California) "I have had a lot of dif- ferent software sales peo- ple tell me they can increase my ARO. AutoVitals did it and I have the hard figures to prove it." Russ Hilliard, Shop Owner, Tires Too (Londonderry, New Hampshire) "There is always one tool in the shop's toolbox that produces the best return on investment. Today that is AutoVitals' SmartFlow." NEW ADUSTABLE LIFT AND LEVELING KITS FROM PRORYDE ProRyde is committed to continuously working to expand its SEMA award-win- ning lineup of adjustable lift and leveling kit offerings to include the latest trucks on the market. It is in this spirit that ProRyde is pleased to announce the intro- duction of several new products for 2015. Two brand new kits are now avail- able for Radius Arm-equipped Ram HD2500/3500 4x4s. Its new on-vehicle adjustable front lift leveling kit (#74- 2550R) for Ram HD2500/3500 utilizes its patented LIFTmachine technology, typically found on many of its strut-type front suspension products. This is the first time the company has applied this technology to a coil spring front suspen- sion, and it is sure it will be the first of many future designs. This kit allows front ride height options from 1.5 inches to 2.5 inches or anywhere in between, to provide front fender clearance to accom- modate up to 35 inch tire/wheel combi- nations, all while retaining your original shocks and OEM ride quality. Another unique feature is that it can be easily adjusted on-the-vehicle for seasonal commercial applications, such as snow plows. A SuperBLOK rear coil spring kit (#56- 2600R) is also now available for Ram 2500 vehicles, and allows rear lift options of 1.0 inch, 1.5 inches or 2.0 inches. After receiving numerous requests from customers to apply its adjustable technology to Jeep vehicles, ProRyde has now entered into the Jeep arena with the announcement of its moderate adjustable front and rear kits for the 2007 to 2015 JK Wrangler. The front kit (#71-7000J) allows lift options from 1.5 inches to 3.0 inches, or most any ride height in between, and does not require expensive replacement of your OEM shocks. ProRyde's rear kit (#56-7100J) allows rear lift options of 1.0 inch, 1.5 inch- es or 2.0 inches, and includes shock extenders to retain your original OEM shocks, and to retain your original factory ride quality. In addi- tion, the company has also included a rear track bar relocation bracket to assure proper rear axle cen- tering. As with all ProRyde products, adjustability is the name of the game.
