With growth comes expansion in facilities, product lines and exciting partnerships. In 2011, WeatherTech moved its headquarters down the street to a facility just outside of Chicago in Bolingbrook, Illinois. With every year has come growth and additions. In 2015, WeatherTech added its biggest growth yet in the form of a state-of-the-art 225,000 square foot warehouse facility to satisfy the needs of its customers. In addition, its European headquarters con- tinues to grow each and every day, adding in the effort to make WeatherTech an international household brand. There have been many new and exciting products added to the WeatherTech line this year. Every new product added has shown to be developed with the needs of the consumer in mind. Each is designed and engineered using the same technology expected of the WeatherTech brand. Automotive acces- sory additions include the TechShade ® WeatherTech (Cont'd. from p. 1) Full-Vehicle Kits, Rear Seat Protectors, BumpFrame™, BumpStep ® with sports teams branding and more. Additional products that are made for home protec- tion and developed from the exact tech- nology as its popular FloorLiner™ include the BootTray™, OutdoorMat™ and IndoorMat™. WeatherTech has had a big year in the marketing and partnership arenas, including making its second year appear- ance as a Super Bowl advertiser. The "American Manufacturing Done Right" themed commercial received great acclaim and continued to focus on the American manufacturing marketing push that has brought WeatherTech much recognition. In August, WeatherTech also announced its partnership with IMSA as the title sponsor of the now WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. They love great audio and have extensive back- grounds in car, pro and home audio, so it was only natural to join their industry expertise with the passion for their favorite hobbies. That is how Wet Sounds was forged. Wet Sounds launched with two revo- lutionary products: the award-winning PRO80 Wake Tower Speaker and its larg- er brother the PRO485 Wake Tower Speaker. With the introduction of high performance HLCD technology, these two unique products filled a void in the marine audio industry. Over the years, as its sales of these two products grew, so did its product selection. The marine audio industry has never been the same, and competitors have been playing catch up ever since. Today, Wet Sounds is an award-win- ning marine audio manufacturer, earning multiple innovation awards from the CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) and Wet Sounds (Cont'd. from p. 1) IBEX (International Boat Builder Exhibition and Conference), as well as multiple business growth awards from the Aggie 100 program and Inc Magazine INC 5000. Wet Sounds continues to grow and dominate the industry, now with more than 250 products based on the same guiding principles. PD: It's an easy to use fully 100 percent waterproof cargo bag made specifically for a pickup truck bed. The user rolls it up and stows it when they aren't using it so they can still have full use of their truck bed. It only takes a minute to roll out and set up, and it's very easy to load with your luggage or cargo, zip up and hit the road. ADN: How did you come up with the Tuff Truck Bag? PD: We live close to the Gulf of Mexico, and during the summer months there is usually rain every afternoon. Being close to the coast, we go to the beach a lot and I got tired of placing my luggage into trash bags to keep dry. I called my oldest son, Tim, and asked him if there was a cargo travel bag that fit a truck bed, and he did the research to show that no, there was not. So we got to work designing and inventing the bag. ADN: How long did it take to invent? PD: This was back in 2008/2009, so probably about a year. Tim did the dig- ital illustrations and product designs figuring out how the bag would work and measure in a bed – we wanted it to fit any mid or full size bed – and then we made the first bag out of awning Tuff Truck Bag (Cont'd. from p. 1) material. It was pretty heavy. ADN: When did you realize you had a great product? PD: Probably when we really finalized materials and began selling the early bags. We strive to have great customer service, so we would ask our cus- tomers about how they felt about the Tuff Truck Bag. We got a lot of input from them, as well as photos and video of them using the bags, but most importantly, they would tell us about how much they liked the product. I knew then we had something. The best part has been making this journey with my two sons and family friends. We're very proud of our product, but the jour- ney here has been just as good, maybe better. ADN: You have the patent, correct? PD: Yes, we do have the patent on the product. We received that in October of 2013, and really that's when things start- ed picking up. In 2014, we added a national sales manager to our team and saw our largest growth that's continued into 2015. Visit Tuff Truck Bag at booth #34178.
