A f t e r m a r k e t D a i l y N e w s 2 7 T h u r s d a y, N o v e m b e r 5 , 2 0 1 5 DK2 – INNOVATIVE TRUCK AND AUTO ACCESSORIES DK2 (Detail K2 Inc.), a privately held North American company, provides inno- vative truck and auto accessories, cross- ing multiple channels throughout North America. With distribution facilities in both Canada and the United States, DK2 is poised to continue to grow with new customers and products, all while main- taining the superior customer service for which the DK2 brand is known. In September 2015, the company launched its new line of Custom Mount DIY Snow Plows. More robust than its predecessor, the 82-inch Rampage II, 84- inch Storm II and the 88-inch Summit II are now all available with a two-point custom mount that will fit on almost any truck. DK2 has shortened the overall dimension from the blade to the truck by more than 14 inches, strengthened its plow ribbing, put in drop-down castors and changed the units' color from gray to black. If you liked DK2 version I, you're going to love these new models! DK2 is proud to intro- duce its Mighty Multi 2000lb 5ft x 7ft Utility Trailer. Like its sister Snow Plow, the Mighty Multi ships in a single box and assembles in an hour. The MM5X7 performs multi- ple functions that include dumping and opening to a 12-foot long flat bed. This North American made trailer is a versatile quality product at a very attractive price. The DK2 Power 2 Go (UCC-P2G) is a really exciting product. While there are other small battery jump starters available, no other publishes a whopping 850 Cold Cranking Amps at this price point. You truly have to see it to believe it. The TFR150 Flip Rack continues to set the standard for ingenuity and practicality as does DK2's TMC201 Motorcycle Carrier. All its products are in stock, ready to ship. Next Innovations prides itself on making quality synony- mous with customer service. It strives to set the bar industry-wide and its reputa- tion backs that up. Its passion drives its innovation to turn an idea or an invention into a visually superior piece of steel that the end user wants to buy. This is Next Innovations' third SEMA show and once again it is excited to release its newest line of creative, Made in America, handcrafted steel items. It formed business relationships with Ford and GM to expand its products into a mancave. If it has learned anything about passion and hard work, it has to credit Carroll Shelby and his love for the Cobra. The company's motivation is simple: surround itself with passionate projects and create ways to improve margins for customers. When it created its first Mustang piece, it knew it was only the begin- ning of what it could do. Anyone can grab some stamped tin and throw some art on it; however, that's not what Next Innovations is. But that doesn't mean it can't take it a step further. Ask about the company's Unlimited Possibilities program. Its main premise was developed for one reason: to expand your bottom line. That's what customers want, so that is what Next Innovations will give them. When the company revolutionizes its Motorglyphics lineup, it likes to look at it like there is never enough horsepow- er to put in one room. Its suc- cess depends solely on the success of its customers; it gets that and you do too. Why not buy from an indus- try leader in visually superior products? Keep in mind that the Motorglyphics lineup has the ability to grow from its inspiration as well as yours. What does that mean? It means that you know your customers better than anyone else. You have to, and so do we. Customization ability is where Next Innovations excels. For more information, visit booth #13161, go to www.nextinnovations.net or call 218.547.5990. FIX BAD MODULES IN HOUSE AND SAVE BIG Some problems are only one phone call and a reliable company away. When a car comes into your shop and its diagnosis shows a bad module, what should you do? One familiar option you might con- sider is to keep the job in house and replace the module — but then you have to call in and pay an outside contractor. Another option would be passing up the job altogether and pointing a potential customer in a different direction. Neither option is very profitable, and Compuflash has the solution to keep the job in house while saving you time and money. There's no need to miss out on profits your shop could be making. "We can accomplish remote pro- gramming over the Internet where nobody else has been successful," said company President Stephen Casella. Compuflash has successfully pro- grammed hundreds of vehicles' modules over the internet with its easy-to-use, patent-pending AirPro Interface Unit. Once you receive the AirPro Interface, all you have to do is follow a few simple steps: open the case, turn on the unit, connect it to your WiFi, plug in the J1962 connector cable to the vehicle's DLC connector, turn the key on, call Compuflash at 954.324.9999 — and Compuflash takes care of the rest! With 16 years of programming expe- rience and 35 years of ASE- certified automotive repair experience, Compuflash provides the best service in the industry. The company has very affordable rates, along with great customer service. "Compuflash customer service is fantastic; we have an enormous amount of knowledge in regards to programming, we know how the modules talk and what they want to see," said Casella. Compuflash can program ECMs, TCMs, BCMs and many more module types. In most cases, the company can perform key re-learns. What's more, Compuflash gives you the most up-to- date software available for your vehicle that the manufacturer can supply. As of October 2015, the company can program for these available manufacturers: General Motors, Ford, Lincoln, M e r c u r y , Chrysler, Dodge, Toyota, Mazda and Nissan. The company can also service diesel engines, said Casella. "However, some diesels require bench programming due to software requirements. Anyone who wants to learn more about diesel options can call Compuflash for more information." Casella added that, while Compuflash currently cannot service European makes and models, the compa- ny is looking into expanding into that market. THE NEED FOR OIL ADDITIVES The oil in your vehicle serves a variety of important purposes. One of the most essential jobs of the oil is lubrication. Friction between engine components causes drag and reduces performance, power and efficiency. By creating a film or barrier between parts, the oil allows them to slide past one another without these issues. But oil does more than just lubricate. It cools, cleans, minimizes wear and pre- vents corrosion. While reducing friction is a key factor for lubrication, cooling is also taking place as the oil dissipates heat during circulation. Motor oil is designed to clean your engine by picking up dirt and debris between parts. If left untreat- ed, these deposits will trap heat inside the engine as well as drain engine efficiency. The right motor oil can also help to pro- tect your emissions systems. It is impera- tive that the oil in your vehicle is han- dling the weight of all these responsibili- ties. But is motor oil alone enough to take on the task? The reality is oil, unaided, is not enough to defend the vital parts of your vehicle. Additives are crucial in assisting the oil in protecting the internal combus- tion engine. Boundary lubrication condi- tion is a state in which it is not possible to maintain a continuous oil film between moving parts. This condition always exists during engine starting and can take place around the top piston ring where a reversal of piston motion is occurring, temperatures run high and oil sup- ply is restricted. Howes Lubricator's Oil Enhancer, when added to your motor oil, eliminates these dry starts and reduces operating tem- peratures. Howes Oil Enhancer also contains an anti-foaming agent that improves the strength of the oil film, allowing it to properly lubricate and prevent malfunction in areas such as hydraulic valve lifters. Extreme pressure condi- tions which can occur between heavily loaded parts, especially in modern engines, are another area where oil alone falls short. Motor oils rarely contain extreme pressure additives. As such, neglecting to use an additive could cause premature wear. Howes Oil Enhancer prevents both premature and excessive wear. As it becomes clearer that oil addi- tives are a necessity for main- taining your vehicle, it is impor- tant to beware of poorly tested, unreliable additives. Howes Oil Enhancer has been professional- ly developed and rigorously tested, ensuring exceptional per- formance and results. While some additives can actually deplete the lubricity of your base oil, Howes Oil Enhancer stands true to its name and serves only to enhance the ben- eficial properties of your oil without voiding any warranties. From slowing oil consumption and extending oil life to inhibiting harmful engine acids and increasing fuel mileage, Howes Oil Enhancer is an exceptional product on the market for you and your engine from a company you can trust.
