A f t e r m a r k e t D a i l y N e w s 2 7 Tu e s d a y, N o v e m b e r 3 , 2 0 1 5 TECHSHADE AND BUMPFRAME FROM WEATHERTECH WeatherTech ® , located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, is known for its line of high qual- ity, American made automotive acces- sories. Most widely known for its revolu- tionary line of custom-fit FloorLiners™, WeatherTech also manufactures custom- fit no-drill mudflaps, all-weather floor mats, cargo liners and more. WeatherTech has steadily added a variety of additional automotive accessories to its line of products to provide the total package for automotive care. Some revo- lutionary additions that WeatherTech has recently unveiled include TechShade ® Full-Vehicle Kits and the BumpFrame™. With the success of its TechShade, WeatherTech has identified the need for full vehicle protection beyond just the windshield, so TechShade Full-Vehicle Kits were developed with that extra step of protection in mind. Custom fit and perfect for any season, the TechShade Kits can keep your vehicle cool in the summer and help prevent frost build-up in the winter. Reflective film chases the sun away in summer. Then, the reverse side absorbs the heat for those cold win- ter months. TechShade kits are custom- fit, and when properly installed, will remain snug in each window opening on the vehicle. Each TechShade fea- tures a foam core, which makes for easy handling and a sturdy fit. After use, simply pull on the shade's pull tabs and roll all pieces together using the easy roll up and store hook and loop strap. A second exciting new product is the BumpFrame that aids in protecting a vehicle from the bumps and scratches hiding around the next corner, keeping the bumper in top shape. WeatherTech BumpFrame is made to provide that extra barrier of protection (3/4-inch to be exact) for the front bumper of your vehicle. With its impact resistant design and materials, it takes the everyday bumps, mistakes of other drivers and parking mishaps away from the bumper. Not just for protection, the BumpFrame features an attractive black satin textured finish to provide a clean appearance for the license plate mounting area. WeatherTech strives to provide con- sumers with high quality products, while staying at the top of technological advancements in manufacturing. Visit WeatherTech at booth #35071. THREAD WIZARD: THE SAFE AND FAST BOLT CLEANER Since the bolt was invented, it has been an integral part of some of humankind's greatest inventions and accomplish- ments. However, it has also been trouble- some and problematic to clean. When servicing vehicles, equipment, machin- ery, appliances or the like, the fasteners are soiled from exposure. Reinstalling bolts with grit, grime, rust or adhesives still present can damage the bolt, bolt hole, nut or internal threading, and by extension the item or part the bolt is securing. Traditional methods for cleaning bolts are cumbersome, time consuming, dangerous and wrought with environ- mental hazards. Solvents require expen- sive soak tanks and must be disposed of when they are contaminated, creating a variety of safety and ecological concerns. Wire brushes are clumsy while providing substandard results and posing an injury risk to the person using them. Wire wheels on a bench grinder have all the safety issues of a bench grinder and the ability to grab the bolt and throw it at high speeds. After inventor and master mechanic of 42 years Gary Taylor had his most recent encounter with a wire wheel grinder and bolt projectile, he was tired of the potential danger and set out to engineer a better solution. The fruits of his labor have changed everything and culminated in a revolution- ary new tool from GolaTTaylor Tools, the Thread Wizard. While the Thread Wizard is a unique and industry changing innova- tion, the means by which it operates are surprisingly simple. Housed in a highly durable ABS plastic handle, which is shaped to be handheld or clamped in a vise, a carbon steel wire wheel of the highest quality protrudes into size specific holes surrounding the wheel. When a bolt is matched to the appropriate hole and turned through the Thread Wizard with hand or power tools appropriate for the bolt, the wire wheel removes all grime, dirt, surface rust, adhesives and fouling. Available in both standard (SAE) and metric sizes, the Thread Wizard fits the needs of mechan- ics, service professionals and home hobbyists. The Thread Wizard is manufac- tured in the United States with materials sourced from right here in America. Whether in a work setting, being used around the house or in the field, the Thread Wizard allows those working with bolts to clean them immediately and thoroughly without down time or added safety risks. When the time comes to reinstall the bolts, it can be done properly and without need- less bolt replacement, saving both time and money. The Thread Wizard is available for pur- chase or wholesale at www.thread wizard.us and can be seen or purchased at SEMA booth #90229 in the Performance Pavilion. WASPCAM PROVIDES ACTION CAMERA MOUNT FOR YOUR VEHICLE OR HELMET By Chris Mochrie The popularity of action cameras on vehicles is, without question, huge and on the rise. You name the racing series, car show or family get together – action cameras are there to capture the action. That being said, how do you mount the camera to get the best perspective? Do you mount it to your helmet, your wind- shield or your bumper? How many mounts are you going to need to mount your camera in all of its places? The answer is just one. WASPcam's New SST mount (Super Suction Technology) can be used with WASPcams and GoPros alike (like most of WASPcam's mounts). This mount can be used on flat and curved surfaces, unlike most suction cup or adhesive mounts. Using the patented "Gel" suction cup, it keeps an extreme hold that can withstand up to 200mph. The reusable suction cup removes the need for adhesive tape and is easy to install and remove without damage or residue to the surface. This one mount removes the need for multiple mounts needed before. Simply take it off your rounded helmet and apply it right to your flat windshield, thus get- ting the multiple angles needed to make a great video; no extra steps needed. WASPcam Action Cameras prides itself on being great innovators of not just cameras, but mounting systems as well. Visit booth #34264 to get a close look at the rest of its more than 100 innova- tive mounts and acces- sories. Every angle allows you to prove it that much more.
