P r o d u c e S h o w D a i l y F r i d a y, O c t o b e r 2 3 , 2 0 1 5 1 4 SEMINOLE PRIDE NOBLE JUICE FRESH FROM FLORIDA By Bridgett Roode, Director of Marketing, Seminole Pride Noble Always conserving, always protecting, always treasuring the land, air, and water of Florida since 1521. Guided by that philosophy, based around what nature has provided, the Seminole Tribe of Florida has developed into a nation that thrives. They are developing a future that will bring a recollection of the past, one of freedom, stewardship and the strengthening of a nation of people. It is with this clear vision that the Seminole Tribe has partnered with the Roe family to provide the purest family-grown juice from family-owned Florida farms. For four generations, the Roe family has practiced and believes in the values that their great grandfather handed to down to them: always show integrity, honesty and transparency; always pro- duce the most premium, pure juice and premium fruit; always work hard and show passion in everything you do; always treat your employees, customers, and consumers like family. At the heart of the Seminole Pride Noble juices are the groves. Both icon- ic and historical, the family's heritage began and remains with the fruit that they grow. Kissed by the Florida sun, their high quality citrus produces well- defined flavors, sweet complexity and a satisfying texture. With a variety of groves, each one has its own story and requires a great deal of detail and pas- sion, because in the end, Mother Nature is still in control. For nearly a century this passion and the art of growing fresh from Florida citrus has gone into each and every touch point. From the land they choose to plant, to the type of tree they grow, there is always a delicate balance to achieving the most premium, sweetest citrus. Their groves were first established in 1927. The original crop planted was tangerine trees. From these trees, Seminole Pride Noble's cornerstone 100 percent Florida Tangerine Juice was born. Our grandmother was the artisan behind the creation of this juice, squeez- ing fresh, Florida tangerines each and every day for us. Hand-picking the fruit from the trees at the height of season – never before – so that we always had the freshest, sweetest juice with nothing ever added. Pure Juice. Pure Ingredients. Pure Family – Seminole Pride Noble has made artisan-crafted juice for four generations. Seminole Pride Noble juice contains no added sugars, vitamins, minerals or flavors. It is also free of any artificial col- ors, ingredients or preserva- tives. INNOVATION IN SEED GERMINATION – INVIGORATING SEEDS AND CROPS VIA NEW TECHNOLOGY As seasoned farmers will tell you, seed germination can be a tricky business. Even best practices and use of state-of- the-art equipment can't guarantee that seeds that will germinate successfully and productively. Since fast and complete seed germi- nation is an important part of producing healthy crops, growers are always look- ing for ways to improve this process. Recently, farmers have been experiment- ing with an innovative method that is proving to be extremely successful. By running seeds through a custom-engi- neered cylinder that produces a specifi- cally designed magnetic field inside its tube, the dormant seeds awaken, and the resulting growth and health of the crops are measurably improved. The seeds become energized in the process, acceler- ating germination rates. An Oakland, California-based com- pany called Magnation is responsible for the product. Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the system is called the Magnation Seed Maximizer™. Among others who are currently discovering great success with the treatment, one Nebraska farmer, Scott Borman, has seen amazing results from using Magnation. After using the Magnation method for seed germination, Borman said, "Last year we split our planter in half, and we used Magnation treated corn seeds on one side and non-treated seeds on the other side. On the Magnation side, we saw about half a bushel increase per acre. In addition, my neighbor, who has the farm next to ours, tested the Magnation for his soybean seed germination, and we saw an increase of 6.5 bushels per acre on his crops. Right now, the price of beans are about $9.00 per bushel; that means you're getting $58 per acre more by treating the seeds with Magnation. So for 650 acres of soybean, he's get- ting over $38,000 more per growing season by running the seeds through the Magnation system." Then there's Gerry Konen, a farmer from Juniata, Nebraska. "I'm really excited about these Magnation products," said Konen. "Magnation has helped us with both seed germination and our irri- gation. I can see night-and-day differ- ence. The soil stays really moist even through extreme heat conditions. We've really had a dry, hot August, so I am especially impressed. Yesterday we did the counts and checked the weights. I can say that we are getting a real benefit out of using the Magnation units. It's the combination of treating the seeds and treating the water." When asked if he was surprised at the results shown by Konen's photos, Scott Borman said,"I did some c o m p u t a t i o n s based on the results that Konen's photos show. On his non-treated corn, he had 29,000 plants... but with Magnation he harvested 29,500 plants. That's 500 more harvested ears of corn per acre. All you have to do is some simple math. I have 720 acres. Five hundred times 720 equals 360,000 plants more if you use Magnation for seed germination. That's like having another 12-1/2 acres of land. That's because of the extra seeds that were germinated. If that doesn't convince someone to try Magnation, I don't know what will!" For more information, visit booth #476.
