Operating since 1997, OutFront Portable Solutions began manufacturing tarpaulin covers and tents. In 1999, we created a new "boltless" 'Shade & Display ® ' design, making us the first company in a new industry to introduce the original "Boltless" Garden Center System. Our products and servic- es are now used across North America by over 1000 garden centers ranging from National Grocery Chains, Department Stores, Do It Yourself (DIY), Mass Merchants and many local, regional and national Independent retailers. PSD: What would you say makes your c o m p a n y unique? ST: Our " B o l t l e s s " design. It facilitates quick set-ups and take-downs with a minimum amount of parts and tools. Our Garden Centers are structurally certified and engineered for many years of consistent and reusable use Another distinctive advantage is our people and the superior customer service they provide. With over 15 years' experience helping our clients achieve their goals, we have a sound and proven knowledge base of what NATUREFRESH FARMS IS GROWING TO OHIO As NatureFresh™ Farms expands into Delta, Ohio, it is repositioning to be more in line with what its customers and the industry already consider it: the Grow-to People. NatureFresh built its first green- house in 1999. By itself. It was a proof- of concept built to challenge the conven- tional wisdom of the day with new ideas and new methods. One hundred and thir- ty acres later, NatureFresh has never stopped improving processes, technology and varietal advancements. "There are always opportunities to do things better. Simple things. Big things. Things that matter," said Peter Quiring, NatureFresh Founder. "No good story ever starts with 'Remember that time we didn't try something different and nothing happened?' Every day, we learn something new, test a new theory or idea and continue to build a reputation for being the Grow-to People when it comes to greenhouse produce." Now, the company is busy with the construction of a 180-acre greenhouse facility in Delta, Ohio. They are also working on a partnership agreement with a large industrial facility that has an enormous amount of excess heat that could help heat the greenhouses. This type of opportunity would be the first of its kind in Ohio. "This development will allow us to better serve our Ohio customers year- round with locally grown produce and continue to grow our U.S. operations," said Quiring. "It's looking like we'll be shipping our first case out of Ohio by this December." The project will be completed in several phases over the next seven years Continued on Page 23 Continued on Page 23 AN INDEPENDENT PUBLICATION NOT AFFILIATED WITH UF Lee M.
