You may know that Whitford manu- factures the world's largest, most com- plete line of nonstick coatings, but you may not know that the company also offers many eye-catching exterior coat- ing options, which are used on products sold around the world. The decorative coatings include Xylac ® and Fusion ® X sol-gel ceramics. All come in a variety of options, depend- ing on your target price and performance level. Note: Decorative exteriors are dif- ferentiated by temperature resistance, so your choice of exterior coating must meet your temperature specifications. Exterior Coatings: Whitford's Wde Range Offers Various Options Easy-clean exteriors: Some high-quality decorative coatings have easy-clean characteristics. Varying gloss levels: These can range from matte to a very high-gloss fin- ish. One- and two-coat options: Depending on price and performance requirements, Whitford's exterior coat- ings come in both options. Application methods: Coatings available for coil, roller, curtain coating and con- ventional spray. Flexibility: Deep drawing and postforming options are available. Adhesion: Decorative enamels can be formulated to bond well to most substrates, even plastics. Color options: Just about any color is achievable, with a few exceptions based on regulatory restrictions. Metallics: These effects can be added to both one- and two-coats. A two- coat metallic finish adds more depth and brighter sparkle. Spatter coatings: This technique offers unique finishes, including a look similar to granite, and can be done in many color combinations. Printable coatings (silk screen or pad print): A great way to display your brand name. Hard-Anodized: Specialty Exteriors Generally, hard-anodized finishes cannot withstand dishwashing. Whitford's clear-coat exterior changes that. Imagine putting your hard-anodized cookware in the dishwasher and when it comes out, it looks like new! Now you can have that with Whitford's clear-coat exterior fin- ish. Visit Whitford at booth #3125 in the South Hall or Meeting Rooms #S403A&B. NEWS FROM DURALEX, LÉKUÉ, MAUVIEL, EMILE HENRY, AND ROSLE Duralex News This Old House magazine named Duralex's OvenChef bakers to the "TOH Top 100" list. The editors spent months testing thousands of products to find the most helpful and innovative new prod- ucts. OvenChef ovenware is made of tempered glass that has been reinforced in the manufacturing process to with- stand heavy use, and is thermal and mechanical shock resistant. Duralex pio- neered tempered glass technology and is considered a world specialist in the process. Duralex has been manufacturing glassware in France for more then 80 years. LÉKUÉ News LÉKUÉ, a Catalan company dedicated to the creation of novel and original utensils for the kitchen, received a design patent for its Citrus Spray Set. The citrus sprayer draws juice directly from fruit to spritz soft drinks, cock- tails, salads, seafood, vegetables and more. It's easy to use, fun, cute and dishwasher safe. The Citrus Spray Set includes two extractors and a green pedestal dish to rest the fruits on when not in use. The long extractor is sized for larger fruits such as oranges, lemons and grapefruits. The shorter one is sized for smaller fruits such as limes and tangerines. Mauviel 1830 News Mauviel 1830 sponsored the Bocuse d'Or ® 2015 World Finale, one of the world's most prestigious culinary com- petitions. Mauviel has been a family owned business since its creation in 1830 in Villedieu les Poêles. According to Valerie Le Guern Gilbert, the seventh generation Mauviel at the helm of the com- pany, "This event is significant for us because acclaimed chefs have used our cookware in the privacy of their pro- fessional and personal kitchens for more than 184 years. Bocuse d'Or, the Olympics of the culinary world, takes our cookware out of these working kitchens and places it onto the world stage for all to see." Emile Henry News Emile Henry adds a new baker to its growing collection of bread makers. The first bread maker was the Bread Cloche, the second a Baguette Baker and in 2015, the Loaf Baker. The Gourmet Retailer honored the Baguette Baker with an Editors' Picks award in 2014. These bread bakers trap steam from the baking bread to create an envi- ronment similar to a steam-injected oven offering delicious results. Like all Emile Henry products, the Bakers are made of all natural materials and are backed by a 10-year warranty. Emile Henry is located in the Burgundy town of Marcigny, France. Rösle News The simple but clever egg topper recently received accolades in many publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Cooks Illustrated. The product is a must-have for spring, Easter and Passover meals. Rösle's Egg Topper opens soft-boiled and hard-boiled eggs smoothly and cleanly. This surprising tool works like a charm. The topper cracks a circle around the top of an egg so that the shell can be lifted off by hand, making mornings easier for anyone who knows what it's like to dig shells out of their soft-boiled egg before having their morning coffee.
