In partnership with local power companies, Nesco Roasters were introduced to farmer's homes as a new, modern convenience in the farm kitchen, where most cooking had been done on a wood stove prior to the availability of electricity. Over the years, the iconic ovens have evolved into a multi function cooking appliance. The company offers the largest assortment of roaster ovens on the market, and is introducing two new and unique roaster ovens at the Chicago Houseware's Show. Although its heritage is roaster ovens, Metal Ware is a key player in home food dehydration as its brand com- mands the largest market share in North America. The breadth of its line offers dehydrator models to cover every con- sumer need and price point. The compa- ny's dehydrators are unique in the sense that while its power heads are imported from China, its dehydrator trays, clean a screens and fruit roll up sheets are all made in its factory in Two Rivers, Wis. It has a full line of tasty jerky spices and jerky guns as well. Its dehydrators fea- Metal Ware Corp. (Cont'd. from p. 1) ture patented air flow technology that produces the fastest, most even drying results in the category. All of its dehydra- tors are expandable so that the consumer can use the exact number of trays that they need. Extra value is added to the dehydrators, because in most units it packs in accessories as well as its excel- lent, top quality jerky spices, all made in the U.S.A. Metal Ware is the go to expert in food dehydration and has been firmly supporting the category since 1977. In 2015, the line looks wildly dif- ferent than 10 years ago. It now offers a full line of kitchen electric appli- ances including blenders, toasters, skillets, cook tops, quick cook sys- tems, vacuum sealers, coffee urns, water kettles, slow cookers, steamers, waffle makers, grill/griddles, slicers and grinders. Each year the company is adding new products to its line in order to become a one stop brand for kitchen electric appliances. Stop by booth #L12702 in the Lakeside Building to help The Metal Ware Corporation celebrate its 95th anniver- sary milestone. It will be introducing a dozen new products. when the coffee has finished brewing, often waiting until they hear the splutter- ing of coffee from the percolating col- umn. By this time, the heating process is well under way and will continue until the coffee gets over extracted and a brown liquid is boiling away in the top chamber. That, or they are constantly lifting the lid to 'see' when the coffee is ready and burn their fingers in the process. The simple, but brilliant innovation was for aerolatte to add a window to the Moka pot lid. The user can now easily see when the coffee begins to pour out of the percolat- ing column, can remove the pot from the heat and leave it to finish the brewing process without danger of killing the coffee. By not lifting the lid, the coffee stays hot. Product designer Gary Lane said, "It's remarkable how transformative such a simple change can be. Once you see the window, it seems so obvious that you won- aerolatte (Cont'd. from p. 1) der why it has never been done before: always the sign of a good innovation." It has also added a fill line in the boil- ing chamber to ensure that the right amount of water is used with no danger of covering the all-important safety valve. Too many manufacturers try to cut costs by skimping on the amount of alu- minium used. But without the correct weight and thickness, the heat does not diffuse properly and the water boils too quickly and unevenly, potentially forcing boiling water (i.e. too hot) through the coffee. aerolatte never compromises on quality, so the pot is weighty and solid, and the aerolatte design team has worked its magic to leave the MokaVista looking modern and stylish, but still with a nod to the traditional 1930s Italian design. Introduced in 2013, the Powered Water Filtration System (PWFS) is the newest advance- ment in water filtration. With patent- pending powered filtration technology never before available in a pitcher, the PWFS delivers the performance of a pro- fessional grade installed filtration sys- tem, for a fraction of the price, with no plumbing or installation required. Traditional pitchers use gravity to slowly trickle water over filter granules. The Aquasana Powered Water Filtration System uses power to filter water fast – right before your eyes. This revolution- ary system filters out 10 times the con- taminants (60 total) compared to the leading pitcher filter and is the only pitcher on the market tested to remove 96 percent of chlorine and chloramines (chlorine + ammonia disinfectant), lead, mercury, herbicides, pesticides and asbestos. Naturally occurring minerals in your water like calcium, potassium and magnesium are retained by its selective Claryum ® filtration, leaving you with healthier, more delicious water. "Today's retailers and consumers are looking for products that promote or drive behavior or lifestyle changes," said Bill McFadden, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Aquasana. "We have all witnessed the accelerated growth in the beverage cate- Aquasana (Cont'd. from p. 1) gory with blending and juicing, and the PWFS is an integral product in that cate- gory because 90 percent of what we con- sume starts with water." This experience has also opened up new distribution opportunities in the foodservice channel where Aquasana is now being offered in culinary restaurant settings. The Powered Water Filtration System has also seen tremendous success with TV sales and direct response media. "The power of TV and in-store demon- strations has been the recipe for success," said McFadden. "It's been exciting to fol- low the consumers reviews and see how consumers are upgrading from tradition- al gravity pitchers and moving away from bottled water as a result of having Powered Water Filtration System on their counter." The Powered Water Filtration System has the longest lasting pitcher fil- ter, and offers the lowest cost per gallon on the market. Its Aquasana Claryum fil- ters deliver 8 times the filtration capacity of the leading pitcher filter for half the price (320 gallons vs. 40 gallons at 9.4 cents per gallon vs. 20 cents per gallon). When consumers experience the taste of the water for the first time and understand that just one Aquasana filter can replace 2,400 plastic water bottles, the purchase decision becomes personal and easy. The dual-stage slow squeez- ing system works like a mortar and pes- tle, minimizing damage to ingredients to provide nutritious juiced packed with vitamins and minerals that are easily absorbed into the body. The new HH Elite is virtually silent and internal tests result in 25 to 70 percent more juice com- pared to previous models. Combining high performance with energy-efficiency, the Hurom HH Elite consumes only 150 Watts of electricity with an ultra-quiet 43 RPM AC induction motor. The improved SST is complete with a dual-sided auger and fewer moving parts, making it extraordinarily robust, efficient and easier to clean. While including the signature "Juice Cap" and "Advanced Self-Cleaning Feature," which have previ- ously been available on Hurom juicers, the HH Elite also includes the "Auto-Pulp" feature. This feature allows the maximum amount of pressing action before automat- Hurom (Cont'd. from p. 1) ically ejecting pulp in order to achieve the optimal level of juice extraction. With the improved SST, extraction rates have been drastically improved (e.g. as much as 70 percent more juice with carrots and 40 per- cent more juice with kale). The Hurom HH Elite Series Slow Juicer extracts efficiently and produces significantly more juice from the same foods than previous models, due to its patented dual stage technology. Completely 100 percent BPA-free, the Hurom HH Elite is available in Noble Silver. "We understand the value in having a premium kitchen appliance that is inno- vative and yet easy to operate and clean," said Frances Ro, President of Roland Products Inc. "This is exactly what makes our Hurom HH Elite the best can- didate for those who enjoy gourmet cold- press juicing. We think this new gadget will be a simple and fun addition to the kitchen and our consumer's healthy lifestyle."
