Technology is changing constantly; light output (lumens per watt) is increasing, and prices are dropping. Component Hardware has devel- oped a range of LED solutions that meet the very unique demands of the foodservice environment. Whether the light will be installed in the high heat environment of canopy hoods or in walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, look to Component Hardware to offer an energy efficient LED for that application. Canopy Hoods The LED-40000 Series of 12 watt bulbs are Edison-based for replacing incandes- cent or CFL bulbs. These bulbs are avail- able with a complete fixture as well for surface mounting under the hood. The L87 Series are 12 inch by 12 inch surface mount fixtures that provide high light output in a low profile. The L82 Series are recessed mount fixtures available in 24-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch lengths. Walk-in Coolers and Freezers Component Hardware offers the highest lumens per watt of any LED for walk- ins available today. The LED48X762N delivers 50 foot candles at 5 feet – enough light for foodser- vice staff to work safely and efficiently in the walk- in. With that much light output, fewer fixtures will be required, reducing the upfront cost of the walk-in and operat- ing costs. For smaller walk-ins, a 10 watt LED is also available in a 'jelly jar' fixture. Motion Sensing LED For dry storage areas or walk-ins, the LED-321420 motion sensor bulb has a INTEGRATED CONTROL DELIVERS ANOTHER GREAT INNOVATION FOR FOOD SAFETY Featured in "What's Hot, What's New" at NAFEM '15 will be the all new Scan 'n' Temp from Integrated Control. Many food safety tools do not pro- vide a quick means of product identifica- tion. This is particularly true in the areas of receiving and production where accu- rate product identification and labeling continues to present challenges for incoming and continuous monitoring of temperatures. These are critical check points in any HACCP program. Scan 'n' Temp is the first tool in the marketplace that fully and simply addresses these needs, and like all ICC products, fully integrates with other ICC Solutions offer- ing "cloud" data collection and reporting. Scan 'n' Temp, in one easy to use handheld tool, combines both tempera- ture and bar code reading capability. Using either Bluetooth or Wifi technolo- gy, Scan 'n' Temp incorporates a bar code scanner as well as a fixed and detachable wireless temperature probe for the ulti- mate in t e m p e r a - ture data collection. M u l t i p l e probe con- figurations will be available. The program possibilities for this device are virtually limitless. For the first time, Product Safety and Recall programs can be implement- ed quickly and simply. Each brand knows exactly what was received, from which vendor and when received to ensure seamless supply line and food Continued on Page 55 Continued on Page 55
