Darrin Johnston, currently Senior Vice President of Sales for Meyer, U.S., has been promoted to Managing Director, effective January 1, 2015. In his new role as Managing Director, Darrin Johnston will report to Mitchell Loring, President of Meyer Corporation U.S. "Jay was extraordinarily effective in growing our business by a significant 40 percent during his tenure as Managing Director. Personally, I consider Jay to be one of the most talented leaders in our industry, and while very sorry to see him go, wish him well in his next endeavor," said Mitchell Loring. Johnston joined Meyer U.S. in 1997 as a Sales Account Executive. Over his career at Meyer U.S., he has been promoted multiple times within the sales division, ultimately culminating in his current role leading the entire Meyer U.S. sales force. Johnston has also been instrumental in developing the company's portfolio of celebrity cookware brands. He is a Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Cookware Manufacturer's Association. "I was very privileged to work alongside Jay for 16 years, and I'm honored by the vote of confidence that our Founding Chairman and CEO Stanley Cheng, and Mitch, have placed in me to lead the company forward.
