Sur La Table Appoints Industry Veteran Diane Neal as CEO Sur La Table, the retail destination for those with a pas- sion for cooking and a love for food, recently an- nounced the appointment of industry veteran, Diane Neal as its new CEO. Neal has over 30 years of con- sumer and retail experience and has held leadership positions at a number of prominent consumer brands. Most recently Neal served as CEO and President of Bath & Body Works Inc. She currently serves on the boards of several retail companies, including Aber- crombie & Fitch Co. and Fossil Group Inc. "I am truly excited to be taking on this role and join- ing a market-leading company in Sur La Table," said Neal. Lifeway Foods CEO Julie Smolyansky Named on Fortune Magazine's "40 Under 40" List Cultured dairy product company Lifeway Foods Inc., a leading supplier of kefir and organic kefir, recently an- nounced that the company's CEO, Julie Smolyansky, has been named on Fortune Magazine's prestigious "40 under 40," an annual list of the most innovative and influential business leaders under 40 years old. In addition, Fortune has also named Smolyansky as one of the 55 Most Influential Women on Twitter. "I am honored and humbled to be named on For- tune Magazine's 40 under 40 and 55 Most Influential Women on Twitter lists," said Smolyansky. Annual net sales grew 119 percent to $97.5 million in 2013 from $44.5 million in 2008. Recently, Lifeway announced its entry into the Canadian market, launching its kefir products in more than 1,000 stores across Canada. This marked the company's second international expansion following the 2013 introduction of its frozen kefir products in the UK. Smolyansky became Lifeway's CEO in 2002 at the age of 27, making her the youngest female CEO of a publicly held firm.
