We also offer the JV150 Series that includes all the same features and functions, designed for lighter production environments where high throughput isn't required. If you need longer-term outdoor durability, consider the Mimaki UJV500- 1600 printer that offers exceptional weatherability for vehicle wraps. This model uses Mimaki LUS-200 UV inks that were jointly developed with 3M Company. When applied onto select 3M media and installed using 3M guidelines, this ink carries the 3M MCS Warranty, widely recognized as the industry's most comprehensive finished graphics warran- ty. These inks are idea for applications with curved surfaces such as vehicle wraps and fleet graphics where stretching could crack other UV inks. For custom interiors, consider the Mimaki JFX200-1513 flatbed printer. This model can print onto a variety of Mimaki ( Cont'd. from p. 1) material – including leather, wood, acrylic and metal – up to nearly two inch- es thick, meaning you can create cus- tomized interior accents or print directly onto seating surfaces. Pair any of our printers with a Mimaki CF2 Series flatbed cutters for a complete print-to-finished-graphic sys- tem, ready for installation. CF2 Series cutters are available in three sizes: 35 by 47 inches, 47 by 59 inches and 47 by 70 inches. All are capable of cutting a variety of media from thin vinyl film up to thick rubber. We dip it in ice water and wrap it around a driver's neck as he exits the car. Even drenched in ice water, it never rips. ADN: Why do you use wipers verses shop towels? BV: We'd been using the old shop rag service and were unsatisfied with the quality of the product. Sometimes you'd get a rag with metal shavings stuck to it, and you'd scratch your hand or ruin the finish of the car. Then we started to use paper towels, and they always ripped. We were spending an awful lot of money on paper towels because we had to use three to four tow- els for each job. So, about three years ago, I was at the SEMA show and saw the multipurpose wiper at the Tork booth and fell in love with it. It was just the product we were looking for. ADN: What benefits have you experi- enced using Tork products? BV: Tork has such a diverse product offering. Once we started working with Tork, they visited and looked at every- thing we do. Then they hooked us up Venturini Motorsports ( Cont'd. from p. 1) with all the products – from hand soap and paper towels in the bathroom to napkins for our team lunches at the racetrack. They also showed us the lint-free wipers, which have been a great fit for our body shop because they don't leave lint on the car before you go to paint. ADN: What advice do you have for auto- motive aftermarket professionals to keep vehicles at peak performance? BV: Don't overlook the small details because usually you can pinpoint an issue before it becomes a major problem. The key to our success is that we're constant- ly double checking everything we do. If we see something that could potentially be a problem, we don't overlook it, we fix it. Also, keeping everything clean helps us to diagnose future problems. If a car is exceptionally clean and some- thing's leaking on the car, you can tell immediately what's leaking. If there's a problem developing, you can catch it right away. Our product was the original smooth steel bumper on the market. Other brands use a dia- mond plate, which is a rough look tacked to a pipe as the main point of reinforcement. Our Stealth line has more of a unique look that fits perfect- ly to your vehicle. ADN: Are you introducing any new products at the show? MH: Yes. We are introducing new prod- ucts for the Ford Raptor and the Jeep. All of our products, including these new ones, are designed around the WARN M12. We also have a new, non-winch version of our bumpers available for late model Ford, Dodge and Chevy HD vehicles. ADN: How do you handle sales? MH: Primarily through wholesale dis- Road Armor ( Cont'd. from p. 1) tribution: Myer Distributing, 4 Wheel Parts, Custom Truck Parts Inc. and others. Sixty percent of our revenue is generated through wholesale distribu- tion. Our online prices are listed as "call for price," and through that, clients are referred to jobbers in their area. ADN: To what do you attribute your company's success? MH: The quality of our products and reputation of our brand over time is the biggest factor. Adopting a model of sell- ing to the trade as opposed to the end user has taken us to the next level. We have over 12 years of experience in engineer- ing and manufacturing quality products, and Road Armor will exceed customer's expectations in every way. Without the sup- port of other American based manu- facturers that help to provide the tools it needs for a more effective and high quality manufacturing process, WeatherTech would not be the compa- ny it is today. This is a strong testa- ment to the importance of Made in America products and manufacturing. Some of its technology driven auto- motive accessories include FloorLiners, All Weather Mats, CargoLiners, MudFlaps, TechLiners, AVM Universal Mats, AVM Universal Cargo Mats, BumpStep, CargoTech, License Plate Frames and many more. EXPLORE WITH CONFIDENCE – AND A TOTAL RECOVERY EXTRACTION DEVICE Whether you're cruising over sand dunes, through rugged bush land or across the outback, four-wheel driving is great way to explore the best of your outback. However, while enjoying the great outdoors, off-road drivers of all skill levels require the right equipment to deal with hazards. TRED, the Total Recovery Extraction Device, is an essential product for any vehicle that operates off-road. Designed and manufactured in Australia by the Evolve Group for 4WDs, trucks and ATVs, TREDs allow drivers to simply overcome bogging hazards and return on their jour- ney in minimal time, with little effort. TREDs are designed to fit a wide range of vehicles and can be used easily by anyone; from recreational four-wheel drivers, to professionals who use the vehicles for their job and families travel- ling for a holiday. ndividuals can drive off-road with confidence using TREDs, knowing if they lose traction, they can easily get their car back on track without the use of a second vehicle. The driver simply puts TREDs under the car wheels, and they provide a path for the car to move back onto stable ground. TREDs eliminate hazardous vehicle recovery practices like winching and snatching, which can involve highly stressed components such as steel cables, shackles, snatch straps and winches. TREDs are a safer alternative, yet can still handle intense levels of torque, flex, weight and impact because they are engi- neered to be tough. While the primary use for TREDs is recovery, they can also be used as a pre- ventative measure. If drivers see unstable ground ahead, they can link TREDs together to form a safe path for the vehi- cle to cross. They are a great tool for an off-road enthusiast as well as commercial fleet drivers. The Evolve Group is a specialist in product design, engineering and manufac- turing, with extensive knowledge and expe- rience to produce best market solutions. Product design and material selection processes are trialed with the harsh Australian environment in mind, producing the hardest working solo recovery device available. That's why this is the world's first non-mechanical solo recovery device with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty. With a designated shovel feature, extreme hex grip nodules, aggressive ramp entry teeth and ultimate wear resistant properties, TREDs are avail- able in two sizes. The RED 800 is designed for smaller vehicles such as Jeep Wrangler four-wheel drives where storage space for larger recovery prod- ucts is limited. The TRED 1100 is designed with extra width and length to launch larger vehicles out of more dif- ficult situations. TREDs are available in a variety of colors, including the standout Lime Green, Bright Red, Hot Pink, Yellow and Ocean Blue as well as the more discreet Stealth Black, Military Green, Desert Sand and Gunmetal Grey. There's a color to compliment your vehicle and match your personality. A range of TRED acces- sories accompany the recovery device including mounting brackets, recovery leashes and heavy duty carry bags to complete your off-road recovery kit.
