Stop by to visit with Brad Gravenhof and the rest of the Dan Am Company team to figure out solutions to your airline issues. Today's air requirements are higher than ever. More air-tools, blow dryers, HVLP spray guns and supplied air respi- rators use more air than in the past. Today's paint coatings also require that air is cleaner than in past years. Dan Am Air together with SATA filtration can solve all of those issues. Dan Am Air is lightweight, aircraft grade, powder coated aluminum, to pro- vide clean quality air up to 232psi. The composite nylon fittings have dual seals which rest on clean unscratched pipe, and are secured in place by an internal grip ring. This provides its leak free guaran- tee. Its major advantage is the push to connect design fittings that feature a full bore through the body, for a turbulence free delivery of air. Designed with simplicity in mind, DAA allows you to do-it-yourself. Measure, cut, de-burr and press to connect equal lower installation time and costs. The leak free design, smooth bore fittings and smooth interior pipe walls help air flow easily, allowing energy advantages and system reliability. Flexibility in fitting types makes attaching to an existing system, as well as additions and expansions down the road a piece of cake. The fittings are interchangeable and allow you to change from a pipe connec- tion to a T, 90 or any other fitting. If you need to remove it quickly to clean a shop, and reinstall, that too is easy and fast. You also have the option of taking your investment with you if you move to a new location. If you wish to use DAA piping for welding gasses or other uses, stop in to ask about that as well. Product and design sup- port is readily available. It has product on hand and ready to ship as well as in-house help with quotes or just for information to make an informed choice. Stop by the booth, and Dan Am Air can show you first hand the advantages and many of the options you have to make this a perfect fit in any size facility. It can also give you a DVD to watch before you begin your installation. For more information, stop by booth #10614. TAKE ON THE TOUGH JOBS WITH ROAD ARMOR Road Armor is a manufacturer of high end aftermarket bumpers for trucks and SUVs. The company makes bumpers pri- marily for full-size pickups such as Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Chevy, Hummer, GMC and Jeeps. At SEMA 2014, Road Armor is intro- ducing new products for the Jeep line. This new line of Jeep products will accommo- date up to a 12,5000 winch; even the PowerPlants. The company will also be able to discuss the new Chevy, GMC and Toyota products that will be continuing to release throughout the end of the year. Road Armor takes great pride in the design and quality with which it manu- factures. Road Armor's bumper was the original smooth steel bumper on the mar- ket. Previously, other brands use a dia- mond plate, which is a rough look tacked to a pipe as the main point of reinforce- ment. Road Armor's Stealth line has more of a unique look that fits perfectly to your vehicle. Road Armor's sales are made prima- rily through wholesale distribution, through distributors such as Meyer Distributing, 4 Wheel Parts, Custom Truck Parts Inc. and others. Sixty percent of the company's revenue is generated through wholesale distribution. By adopting a model of selling to the trade as opposed to the end user has taken Road Armor to the next level. The quality of Road Armor's products and reputation of its brand over time is the biggest factor in its successes. The company has over 12 years of experience in engineer- ing and manufacturing quality products, and Road Armor will continue to exceed cus- tomer's expectations in every way. IT'S TIME TO THROW IN THE TOWEL AND THINK TASK-BASED DESIGN By Trevor Kelley, Tork Wiper Product Manager for SCA's AfH Professional Hygiene business in North America You've seen it time and time again: you pick up a rental towel to wipe, clean or polish a vehicle in your shop, but it's dirty, worn down or leaves unwanted residue. While you may see rental tow- els as an affordable and convenient option, several pain points do exist. From cost and efficiency to safety and performance, shop towels may not be delivering the quality of care required for the task at hand. That's because the rental towel you're using is often reused and recycled. Because these products are rented through a laundry company, they are cycled through multiple facilities across a variety of industries. Shop towels pick up contaminants when used that are then mixed in the laundering process, and because it's difficult to distinguish towels used in different facilities, customers often don't receive the same towel back after laundering, resulting in accidental pick up of heavy metals, grease and other solvents that can damage the vehicles under your care. Luckily, a better performing solution exists: task-based disposable wipers. Using disposable wipers, such as the Tork Industrial Cleaning Cloth, can pro- vide end-users with a fresh, clean and hygienic wiper every time – free from any impurities or residues. This product is a soft, flexible cloth that is designed for cleaning oil and grease – ideal for use in any auto shop. To create greater efficien- cy, Tork wipers are designed to perform a specific task, saving time and reducing consump- tion. Disposable wipers are also highly absorbent, so cleaning or polishing solvents are absorbed more completely and released evenly, using less solvent to do the job and ultimately saving you money. In fact, in external lab studies with Swerea/IVF in Sweden, SCA, maker of Tork, found that the use of Tork Cleaning Cloths resulted in a 41 percent reduction in solvent consumption. Also, because you can easily dispense these wipers one- at-a-time, you're only paying for the product you use. Rental towels, on the other hand, have plenty of hidden costs, such as replacement charges, inventory fees and even handling expenses. Safety is also a huge factor in run- ning an efficient shop, as employee injuries can result in less productivi- ty and reduced profits. Rental towels may be cycled through manufactur- ing facilities where harmful chemi- cals are used or metal filings are left in the towels. Using a towel to wipe one's hands or face can therefore result in a chemical exposure or even a painful scratch. Rather than worrying about the dangerous products left behind from laundered "clean" towels, dispos- able wipers provide you with the comfort that you're getting a fresh clean towel that won't damage you, your employees or your clients' vehicles. So what are you waiting for? Throw in the towel, and pick up Tork task-based wipers. For more information, stop by the Tork booth at AAPEX (booth #3152) and SEMA (booth #11015).
