PEX ABS SENSORS FOR DOMESTIC, EUROPEAN AND ASIAN APPLICATIONS In recent years, PEX created a program that is both relevant and obtainable. It started with what it knew, and it built from there. After several years of hard work, the Active and Passive ABS Sensor program of PEX is continuously expand- ing and currently includes over 1,000 applicable references for the North American market. It stocks a wide variety of sensors with coverage for European, Asian, Korean and domestic applications. Its product management department iden- tifies new applications as soon as they are released, in order to anticipate and fulfill your customers' needs. The ABS sensor detects wheel revo- lutions and sends a signal to the ABS con- trol device. The control device measures all four wheels and compares their rela- tive speeds during braking. If necessary, the control device will regulate the brake pressure to one or more wheels to equal- ize their speeds, preventing the brakes from locking up and allowing the driver to maintain control over the vehicle. After the successful introduction of PEX ABS Sensors for domestic, European and Asian applications for pas- senger vehicles in North America, the company progressed to an offering of ABS Sensors for the Heavy-Duty appli- cations as well. With its OE manufacturing back- ground and highly trained Quality Assurance Department, PEX strives for perfection in every part to ensure cus- tomer satisfaction with form, fit, and function and is proud to deliver a high quality alternative to OE with the quality and reliability its customers expect and appreciate. ROAD ARMOR BUMPERS: LEADING IN FORM AND FUNCTION Road Armor is a manufacturer of high end aftermarket bumpers for trucks and SUVs. The company makes bumpers pri- marily for full-size pickups such as Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Chevy, Hummer, GMC and Jeep. Road Armor takes great pride in the design and quality with which it manu- factures. Road Armor's bumper was the original smooth steel bumper on the mar- ket. Other brands use a diamond plate, which is a rough look tacked to a pipe as the main point of reinforcement. Road Armor's Stealth line has more of a unique look that fits perfectly to your vehicle. At SEMA 2014, Road Armor is introducing new products for the Jeep line. This new line of Jeep products will accommodate up to a 12,5000 winch; even the PowerPlants. The company will also be able to discuss the new Chevy, GMC and Toyota products that will be continuing to release throughout the end of the year. Road Armor's sales are made prima- rily through wholesale distribution, through distributors such as Meyer Distributing, 4 Wheel Parts, Custom Truck Parts Inc. and others. Sixty percent of the company's revenue is generated through wholesale distribution. Road Armor's online prices are listed as "call for price," and through that, clients are referred to jobbers in their area. By adopting a model of selling to the trade as opposed to the end-user has taken Road Armor to the next level. The quality of Road Armor's prod- ucts and reputation of its brand over time is the biggest factor in its successes. The company has over 12 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing quality products, and Road Armor will continue to exceed customer's expectations in every way. WEST COAST CUSTOMS UPS ITS WRAP GAME WITH MIMAKI PRINTERS By Ken VanHorn, Director, Marketing and Business Development, Mimaki USA West Coast Customs, a luxury automo- tive restyling center based in Burbank, Calif., (www.westcoastcustoms.com) uses a variety of tools and equipment to "push the envelope" in vehicle design and modifications. Earlier this year, the company turned to Mimaki to decorate the leather seats of a 2014 Corvette for Continental Tire. The seats were disassembled and taken to the Mimaki Los Angeles Technology Center, where they were printed on a Mimaki JFX500-2131 UV flatbed printer, and printed with the Continental logo and a 'tire mark' down the center. The process was fea- tured on the May 28, 2014 episode of West Coast Customs TV show. The company recently installed a Mimaki JV400LX large format inkjet printer in its shop. This printer uses eco-friendly, water-based latex inks that are fast-drying for immediate han- dling or secondary processing. West Coast Customs uses it for vinyl wraps – everything from artwork for the walls of the shop to full vehicle wraps. "Vehicle wraps, graphics and artwork are very important to our branding and our business," said Ryan Friedlinghaus, CEO of West Coast Customs. "Having the Mimaki JV400LX printer aids in building the best custom cars on the planet." This cooler-running model is more energy efficient, yet still delivers breathtaking print quality. It features orange and green ink – plus the world's first white latex ink – to produce a wide range of applications. The addi- tion of orange and green inks widen the color gamut so that more colors can be accurately reproduced. This is espe- cially important when matching corpo- rate colors on different surfaces. White ink enables printing on non-white media, or on trans- p a r e n t m e d i a such as w i n d o w c l i n g material. " I n order to be a state-of-the-art custom car shop, we only use the best equipment," said Friedlinghaus. "The print quality of the JV400LX printer is outstanding." The Mimaki JV400LX latex print- er is available in 54-inch and 64-inch wide models.
