Being a fully integrated company allows us to quickly design lighting solutions to meet customer specifications from around the country and around the globe. WW: What was the most significant event or series of events affecting your company in the past year? JS: The continued interest and demand for LED technology has lead to a major increase in customer response to our new HORIZON™ Series of LED products. Customers are looking for the most ener- gy-efficient products that will also pro- vide the longest operational life. Along with the HORIZON Series, our FlashGuard™ Series of strobe products has also been in high demand. MULTITECH SYSTEMS LAYS THE FOUNDATION FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE WITH NEW PRODUCTS, NEW PARTNERS, NEW APPROACH Since installing new CEO Rod Landers and a host of new leaders this past year, the MultiTech Systems organization has been challenged to take the key learnings from its 44-year history and lay the foun- dation for the future of the organization. Leadership has focused on cultivat- ing new and deeper relationships with ecosystem partners to add greater devel- oper value to its proven platform of M2M hardware by developing a software library billed as the "first application store for the Internet of Things." In addi- tion to software, MultiTech has added a variety of new products that enable developers to customize the use of their core products to meet the specific needs of a specific application by offering accessory cards that complement the application library, a move that Landers says allows developers to "design at the speed of thought." Driven by chang- ing markets and cus- tomer demand, MultiTech is venturing into new technologies to offer options to sup- port applications with long-range, low power requirements required to power the Internet of Things, while recent introduc- tions such as its QuickCarrier™ USB-D cellular dongle have earned Product of the Year designation from experts cover- ing the M2M/IoT space. The MultiTech team also focused on simplifying the development effort by considering its customer's out-of-box experience and making the minor modifi- cations that Landers says make MultiTech products "dead simple to use." With a base of key ecosystem rela- tionships and new products in devel- opment, the MultiTech team turned its atten- tion on its market- ing strategy, launching updates to its cor- porate brand to externally reflect the changes happening internally and appeal to new customer segments. Landers chose CTIA to formally introduce the new products, new application library and new brand. Stop by the MultiTech booth 5526 in the M2M Zone to learn more about the com- pany and view product demonstrations or visit www.multitech.com.
