TRULY CUSTOM FLOORS FOR HOSPITALITY SPACES With the Amtico Collection of LVT from Mannington Commercial, it is possible to install any design that you can imagine. Start with a blank canvas, branded ele- ments, a sketch or any other creative spark – if a designer can dream it, he or she can install it. The Amtico Design program has the largest portfolio of aesthetics in the industry, inspired by nature and abstract designs, bold or subtle visuals, sophisti- cated or modern patterns. The products also come in a wide range of sizes of tiles, planks and oversized formats. Designers can then take one of three different approaches to shape the perfect hospitality space: combine running line products into unique and intriguing designs; choose from Mannington's col- lection of signature layouts; or create their own design from any inspiration. Drawing upon the talents of a dedicat- ed CAD and production team, Mannington translates pattern and color choices into a kit of parts that is precision cut, pre-fitted and delivered ready for seamless installa- tion. Every custom delivery comes labeled with numbered instructions and reference images, so installers can create the right visual with little time or frustration. The LVT's premium construction, including a wearlayer twice as thick as the industry standard, not only brings the strongest track record of durability in the industry – it is the reason that Mannington is able to custom cut with such precision. Very fine lines and angles can be cut accurately and without com- promise of the material, or its perform- ance once it is on the floor. This level of customization is not pos- sible in products manufactured in Asia, and the lead times required for overseas ship- ping make customization impractical. But Mannington makes Amtico LVT in the USA – onshoring jobs and doubling its Georgia LVT manufacturing force this year – cutting lead times and raising quality stan- dards. For hospitality spaces, this translates to faster, more accurate, more customizable products – and limitless possibilities. Visit Mannington Commercial in showroom 10-1039. RICHLITE COMPANY EXPERIENCING GROWTH, EXPANSION Richlite Company, manufacturer of pre- mium paper-composite surfaces for architectural, design, industrial and con- sumer product applications, completed its 70th anniversary of operations in 2013 with a year of record revenue growth. Family-owned Richlite, which has manu- factured its materials in its Tacoma, Wash.-based plant since 1943, has grown its business more than 70 percent since the building industry downturn in 2008. Richlite products, made with FSC- certified and recycled paper sources, orig- inally produced a compressed paper prod- uct for the aerospace industry that Boeing used for tooling materials. Today, Richlite is a popular surface and design feature material for reception area surfaces, retail installations, interior and external wall cladding, kitchen and bath countertops, furniture, consumer products such as cut- ting boards and smart phone cases, and skate ramp surfaces used in premium skate parks and by pro athletes. "It's been amazing to watch Richlite grow in so many areas," said Don Atkinson, Sales and Marketing Director for Richlite. "The product is so durable, versatile and naturally attractive that architects and designers continue to sur- prise us with the new uses they find for it. Our extreme growth over the past sever- al years is a true testament that American manufacturers can thrive in the current economic environment." Much of Richlite's growth can be attributed to European expansion. To maximize its growth potential in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Richlite recently named Surface Matter, owned by Scott Campbell, as its new UK distributor and European agent. Campbell has worked with Richlite for the past seven years and was instrumental in estab- lishing the brand's foothold in Europe and the Middle East before launching his own distribution company in 2013. Currently Richlite has major distri- bution centers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, and has been specified for commercial, residen- tial and consumer product applications in more than 70 countries in 2014. Designed to meet the growing demand of design aesthetics and outstanding sound absorption, the ecoustic Tile Collection by Instyle is an important group of products that addresses the multi-faceted acoustic needs of hospital- ity, corporate, educational, institutional and healthcare markets. This modern acoustical tile collec- tion is originally comprised of three prod- ucts – Domino, Linear and Matrix. The Collection was designed to permit inter- active surfaces to be arranged during each product's installation to create design and acoustical solutions that are appropriate for any space. Domino, Linear and Matrix are well-priced and are easy to install using supplied fixtures. Produced by Instyle using 50 percent post-consumer poly- ester, the ecoustic Tile Collection is an environmentally sound investment. The tiles can be used on walls or ceilings to add a visual representation to perceptible sound quality improve- ment. The tiles are available in all 16 col- orways of Unika Vaev's ecoustic Felt tex- tile collection and provide noise reduction coefficient rating of .70. The rectangular shape of Domino, combined with the multi-depth diagonal pattern allows for endless custom design possibilities. The bold multi-engraved pattern of Linear creates a modern abstract design that can be easily manipulated to create stunning patterns. Turn the tiles and make the design your own creation! Matrix presents a bold three-dimen- sional design that will add depth and modern beauty to any space. Create your own piece of art by mixing colors and turning tiles to create unique patterns. Noise is unwanted sound, and like other pollutants, has adverse physiologi- cal, behavioral, psychological and cogni- tive implications. Much hearing occurs unconsciously, so people who are subjected to noise may feel tired and stressed without understanding why. Noise also causes people to repeatedly switch their attention away from topic. This switching impairs con- centration, learning and produc- tivity. Last, as distance from a speaker increases, the more likely sur- rounding noise will overpower a speaker's voice. At first, a speaker will not be clear- ly understood and soon will not be heard at all. Have you ever been to a restaurant and not been able to hear your dining part- ner's conversation? No wonder acoustics is an important subject confronting space planning. Unika Vaev recognizes that the work and social environment has changed. More open space with less private area has been the trend for some time, but at what expense to productivity and interac- tion? Fortunately, there are many design effective remedies available from Unika Vaev that address today's acoustical issues. The company is delighted to add the ecoustic Tile Collection to its range of acoustical solutions. For more information, call 800-237- 1625, e-mail customerservice@icf- group.com, go to www.unikavaev.com or view the collection at the company's per- manent showroom, 365 at The Merchandise Mart.
