SuiteLife Systems also provide IT con- sulting and custom software development services. SuiteLife Systems has more than 20 years of experience working with leading technology companies through- out the United States, Australia and 13 countries. SuiteLife brings wide experi- ence in both business operations and end to end software development with support services to back the products we supply. This year at NAB, SuiteLife Systems will be showing Axess™ in Studio Management applications, pro- viding monitoring and control of broad- caster's disparate systems and compo- nents. While applicable to on-air signal programming with full SNMP reporting, SuiteLife Systems will also feature Axess in environmental and property manage- ment applications. Axess functionality provides overar- ching monitoring and control for all northbound and southbound data from studio equipment and systems, consoli- dated on custom screens. Color coded workflows displayed on Operator Visual Interface (OVI) screens facilitate opera- SuiteLife Systems ( Cont'd. from p. 1) tor level oversight of engineering and higher level supervision. Axess utilizes exception-based mon- itoring, allowing pre-emption of failure and technical faults to be managed more efficiently, including minimizing remote site visits, engineering analysis and time demanding problem solving. Multi-site data management of business critical operations on a regional or national basis allow for TX, EAS, Program and Commercial play out logs to be integrated and consolidated into customized reports. Axess manages hundreds of sites across thousands of miles, monitoring faults and failures, meeting customer- specified criteria and operational compli- ance while integrated with redundant systems to provide auto-correction capa- bilities. Data aggregation using the tools provided by SuiteLife Systems for multi- site remote management, reporting and fault occurrence analysis relates directly to the bottom line for excellent ROI. About seven years ago we entered into the TV and motion picture industry with the Phantom HD. We now offer a comprehensive product line geared towards our more tradition- al scientific markets as well as cameras like the Phantom V642, Flex and Flex4K which were designed specifi- cally for TV broadcast and the digital cinema industry. BSD: What would you say makes your company unique? TL: We are a relatively small company and have good relationships with our cus- tomer base. This allows us to design cam- eras and imaging solutions for specific applications completely driven by our customer's needs. BSD: What was your program last year? What's your current product emphasis? TL: At last year's NAB we showed a prototype of the latest member of our cin- ema product line – the Phantom Flex4K. After this camera preview, the remainder of the year was focused on rolling out the camera system, including CineMag IV recording media and the CineStation IV. The Flex4K has a native resolution of 4096 x 2304, and supports both stan- dard and high frame rates up to 1,000 frames-per-second [fps] at 4K resolution, and 2,000 fps at 1080p. The camera offers images that are extremely low- noise with high dynamic range. This is our first completely self-contained pro- fessional cinema camera, where all the Vision Research ( Cont'd. from p. 1) menu controls are built in to an intuitive on-camera control interface. The camera can be battery operated, has interchange- able lens mounts, and has all the inputs and outputs that are needed for a success- ful production. Production Flex4Ks started shipping earlier this year, and we have several planned feature updates still in the works, such as audio support and the option for in-camera compression. BSD: What distinguishes your products from the competition? TL: Phantom cameras have always stood out from competition in the high-speed market based on advanced features, image quality and workflow. Competition in the digital cinema market is a little different than our traditional markets, but the Phantom Flex4K is truly unlike anything else. The Flex4K pro- vides the ultimate in flexibility by shoot- ing anywhere between 15-1000 FPS at 4K resolution, up to 2,000 fps at 1080p, faster at lower resolutions, and it sup- ports several different control options, output formats and workflows. BSD: How can our readers find out more about your company? TL: Visit us at booth #C9031 at NAB for a hands-on demo of the new Phantom Flex4K as well as some of our other products like the original Flex, the com- pact Phantom Miro LC320S, and our sports broadcast Phantom V642 camera. The media industry has had to respond to the challenge of delivering to con- sumer the content they want, when and where they want it. Content must be captured quickly, produced in a supply chain and delivered ubiquitously to thousands of delivery points around the world. The strength of Reach Engine is that it does all of these things quickly, with a targeted workflow. BSD: What would you say makes your company unique? AR: Levels Beyond is one of the only companies to address all three areas of the content lifecycle: capture, produc- tion and delivery. Reach Engine uses a web-based, open, modern architecture to service what was once a very propri- etary video industry. Reach Engine scales to an immense level, with libraries holding millions of assets. It handles massive amounts of content production with a very fast response time, and distributes hundreds of thou- sands of deliveries per month. BSD: Describe your company's current marketing strategy. AR: We built Reach Engine so it can be correlated to a particular business through configuration, not unique soft- ware builds. A user's job will determine the data and menus they see. Right now we're focusing on three primary vertical markets: film and TV, sports media, and agency/brands. We're offering targeted solutions in those areas. BSD: What do you anticipate to be your greatest challenge in the year ahead? AR: Our strategy is to partner with com- panies and deliver at all costs. We will do anything for a customer's success. Managing growth is a challenge. We're growing pretty fast, and we want to maintain the high level of service we pro- vide to our customers. Levels Beyond ( Cont'd. from p. 1) BSD: Are you introducing any new prod- ucts? AR: Reach Engine is a hybrid solution – running a local node where heavy video has to exist, and a cloud compo- nent that offers most of the business logic and user interaction with the sys- tem. We have a number of major updates coming to both sides of that solution. The ability to launch satellite offices from the cloud and share user, metadata and project structures is one example. We're also making Reach Engine available as a development platform for new partners. I can't talk about it too much until official announcements are made, but we're very excited. Some of these things will be announced here at the NAB show. We also have releases coming for our Adobe workflow that processes users from Prelude for Logging, Premiere for Edit and Anywhere for Remote Edit, in a distributed and rich two-way workflow. They're really exciting, cohesive solu- tions that will challenge competitors. BSD: What distinguishes your products from the competition? AR: Levels Beyond offers modern, open, accessible APIs that are genuinely built from the bottom up on modern web tech- nologies. Our scalability is impressive – we cut our teeth on the biggest projects in the world and handle large, tough distrib- uted organizations. Our UI framework adapts to user roles, so people are presented with their job in the UI and not an ugly amalgamation of tools that are confus- ing and hard to use. We make it simple for people to do their jobs. Reach Engine is not some big, monolithic system; it's a targeted workflow to help monetize video assets and distrib- ute digital content. We manage it and help our customers deliver. Visit Levels Beyond at booth #SL8505. For more information, call 303-495- 2424 or go to www.levelsbeyond.com. its most popular product lines.
