First, Frontline has had the same management and tech- nical teams in place for over 20 years and has the largest installed base of vehicles eclipsing all other manufacturer's vehi- cles combined. The key for Frontline's longevity is our push for innovation, ded- ication to quality and diverse offering of vehicles for all types of customers and budgets. Second, we care about our cus- tomers and have been certified to ISO 9001, which drives a highly engineered, quality product and customer service. We are also the industry's only Mercedes approved upfitter and ISO-approved broadcast vehicle manufacturer. Third, we care about our employees and have achieved Safety Management Systems Level 1 with plans to reach Level 4. Fourth and perhaps most important, we are a broadcast driven company and design and build 100 percent of our vehi- cles in-house by Frontline employees, including fabrication, paint, assembly, power panels and systems integration. This allows complete quality control over our vehicles and processes. David Mazza's technical work has spanned the worlds of sports, entertain- ment and news. He and his team were instrumental in the building of NBC Sports Group's new headquarters: a state-of-the-art International Broadcast Center. The 2014 Olympics Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, marked Mazza's 13th Olympics. Mazza commented, "I have been so lucky to have had the opportunity to work on NBC's Olympic coverage over the years. I'm humbled by this honor, but the credit really is shared with the incred- ibly talented team that I am blessed with, and the leaders at NBC who trusted all of us to venture into some very new and exciting territories." A 35-year veteran of the media industry, David Mazza joined NBC in 1994 for the Atlanta Games in 1996. A two-year assignment turned into a 20- year Olympic career. He was named Senior Vice President of Engineering for NBC's Olympics division in 2002 and CTO in 2012. Mazza oversees the engi- neering group, who were originally charged with designing and building NBC's re-useable multi-games infra- structure. This framework would then be subject to the ever-changing and growing nature of NBC's Olympic coverage for New York Festivals ( Cont'd. from p. 1) the next seven consecutive Olympic Games, beginning with the Sydney Olympics in 2000 through the London 2012 Games. All of these advancements and innovations were accomplished on the stage of one of the world's largest sporting events. Starting in 2011, while juggling the preparations for what became the most- watched television event in U.S. history, Mazza was also tasked with building a new home for the NBC Sports Group in Stamford, Conn. He served as the lead designer and project manager for the very fast- track effort. The result is a new state-of the-art 300,000 sq. ft. International Broadcast Center that opened in December of 2012 and houses the NBC Sports Group top executives as well employees working for NBC-SN, NBC Olympics, NBC Sports Digital and the NBC Sports Regional Networks man- agement teams. "There are few in any industry who combine such meticulous attention to detail with unrivaled subject matter mas- tery and uncompromising standards of excellence. Dave achieves all this with great leadership and mentorship, and a humanity that pervades every move he makes," said Gary Zenkel, President, NBC Olympics, and President, Operations and Strategy, NBC Sports Group. "His genius moves bits and bytes and touches hearts and minds." For more information, visit www.newyorkfestivals.com. KIKA ENTERPRISES ANTICIPATES 2014 AS BEST YEAR YET An interview with Ricardo Salguero, President of KIKA Enterprises. BSD: Tell our readers about your compa- ny. What's your main line of business? RS: KIKA Enterprises has been special- izing in wireless data devices for the past eight years. In fact, we are one of the only companies in the U.S. that special- izes solely in Aircards, MiFi Hotspots, embedded cellular modules, cellular antennas, amplifiers and other non- mobile phone connection devices. KIKA has become the leader in secondary market wireless data devices. We are the supplier for mid-size providers, including MVNOs, rural car- riers, M2M solutions, wholesalers, car- rier retail stores, and we often work directly with the major wireless carrier sales reps to supply their customers with 3G data devices. KIKA purchases, collects, reuses and recycles all our devices responsibly. BSD: Can you share with our readers what is new in 2014? RS: 2014 will be our ninth year in busi- ness. We have seen double-digit growth year over year, and 2014 will definitely be our best year yet! I am also very pleased to introduce our new CEO, Tom Mazerski. We brought in Tom to help strengthen our company and prepare for exponential growth in 2014. He is a seasoned telecom executive with over 35 years of experi- ence. He is well known for his ability to build and support new business process- es so customers receive an awesome experience. His fundamental belief is that it is everyone's job to save and grow cus- tomers and you should treat every cus- tomer as if it is the only one you have. BSD: What changes do you see for your company in 2014? RS: There are several changes going on this year. We pride ourselves on being a dynamic company, and the vibe at KIKA is always to be looking forward into the mar- ket to see how we can prepare for what is coming next. Two major areas of emphasis are M2M and cellular amplification. We have been invested heavily in development of a cellular amplifier that we believe will be a game changer in the U.S. as well as international markets. One thing that is clear to me is that Internet access and cellular connectivity is a must- have for everyone. Carriers are working tirelessly to expand coverage, but there are still so many customers and business- es that are in pockets of very weak or no cell signal. Our new amplifier will be sure to have both consumers and businesses alike excited about KIKA M2M.
