ADAMS CELEBRATES 70 YEARS, DEBUTS NEW BRAND IDENTITY On its 70th anniversary, J.K. Adams, manufacturer of fine wood products for cooking and entertaining, unveils a new brand identity, tagline and packaging at the 2014 International Housewares Show (IH+HS). "We are thrilled to unveil our new identity as we celebrate 70 years of manufacturing in the United States," said company CEO Jon Blatchford. "This anniversary marks much more than a chance to reflect on our history, but provides us an ideal opportunity to move our brand into a broader, new direction with an emphasis on inspira- tional style for the home and with products we have never delivered before. The first phase of this new identity is the launch of a fresh, updat- ed logo and tagline reflecting our focus on the design and the style of quality USA-made products that can be used in the kitchen and home by people who love to cook and entertain as much as we do." The new identity is the culmina- tion of almost a year of brand-related research with retailers, distributors and J.K. Adams e m p l o y e e s about how cus- tomers use the products. "For Your Kitchen, Home and Life" acknowledges how much of life happens in the kitchen and home with friends and family. Adams' message and create a more streamlined look on new labels and packaging. Called TOROID-2, and priced at retail under $30, this steam- ing pitcher greatly simplifies steaming milk using a conventional home espresso machine. "There are two problems with steaming milk with home espresso machines," explains ESPRO Co-Founder and President, Bruce Constantine. "The machines have small boilers with low steam power, and the novice owners don't know what to do with the steam wand to make milk foam." ESPRO's TOROID-2 steaming pitcher solves these problems for any home espresso machine. The shape gives users a specific location to aim the steam- wand, and visual feedback to know if they are positioning the steaming wand correctly. Then the shape efficiently returns the milk exactly to the steam tip, reducing the volume of steam required to make milk-foam. The result is better milk foam for the average home- owner from their home machine. "Steaming milk is a skill. The right tool can accelerate the home barista on their way to much better drinks," said Constantine. "The shape acts like the amplifier in a speaker, mak- ing small machines outperform." If any company knows what it takes to make consistent quality espresso beverages, it is ESPRO. Their equipment has been used in coffee shops around the world for almost 10 Lee M.
