ANSA PROVIDES OPTIMIZED EXHAUST PRODUCTS From its humble beginnings in a small workshop in the Emilia region of Italy in 1959, ANSA was founded on one man's love affair with Italian dream cars. Originally designing exhaust sys- tems for the Ferrari racing scene, the small family business eventually expanded its European reach and per- formance exhaust range to cover the most popular European sports cars of the 1960s and '70s. After a successful introduction of the line to the U.S. market in the mid-1970s, growing import vehicle registrations and customer need prompted the develop- ment of the ANSA Replacement Exhaust line and an expansion into other import makes and models. Today, the product line offers an extensive program of replacement exhaust systems covering everything from Acura to Volkswagen, and virtually everything in between. Recently, reaching back to its per- formance roots, the company has reintro- duced coverage for early exotics, includ- ing show-worthy classics like the Ferrari 250, the 365 Daytona and the Lamborghini Countach. Still offered in the ANSA SPORT program are systems for vintage cars, such as the Alfa Spider, BMW 2002 and Triumph TR6, as well as select contemporary applications for Honda, BMW and Volkswagen. ANSA Sport systems feature fully aluminized materials, baked-on black finish and stainless steel single or dual resonated tips. All systems provide the recognizable ANSA sound, tuned specif- ically to each vehicle. With the sport compact trend of combining polished stainless steel mate- rials with a more aggressive sound, the company introduced Silverline™ exhaust systems and universal mufflers and tips for the sport com- pact and light truck market. This product group is made of top quality T304 stain- less, inside and out. Silverline cat-back systems for sport compacts are engineered to improve vehicle performance by generating more horsepower and torque. Systems feature mandrel-bent pipe and increased pipe diameter, ensuring opti- mum exhaust flow and an aggressive but pleasing exhaust note. All Silverline T304 cat-back kits are finished with "seamless" welds and are polished to a high sheen. In keeping with performance niche opportunities, the company next respond- ed to the demands of the diesel perform- ance enthusiast market. An initial offer- ing of top-quality 304 stainless exhaust kits has expanded to include an extensive choice of systems and two additional materials options: 409 stainless or alu- minized steel. All exhaust kits come with the louvered muffler pattern that provides the perfect mix of powerful sound without in-cabin drone. The diesel line-up also includes the latest "big rig" stack look for light diesel trucks. Universal base kits, combined with top quality stainless stack options in pol- ished or black finishes, offers one of the broadest stack choices for diesel truck personalization. From Ferrari to Honda, and from BMW to Dodge, ANSA offers perform- ance exhaust options tailored to the per- formance enthusiast. ANSA is proud to be a part of the AP Exhaust Technologies group. Relocated to AP headquarters in Goldsboro, N.C., the company is posi- tioned to expand its range and product offerings even further, with easier access to key markets and an expanded nationwide distribution channel. ACDELCO INTRODUCES NEW PRODUCTS AT AAPEX ACDelco is introducing GM Original Equipment Transmission Hydraulic Control Modules (TEHCMs), found in all GM six-speed automatic transmis- sions, at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). ACDelco also announced that it is making it easier for independent service centers to repro- gram customers' GM transmissions in their stores. The new ACDelco GM OE TECHMs cover these families of GM six-speed transmissions in 2006-current model year GM cars, trucks and crossovers: 6T30/40/45/50 and 6L45/50 and 80 90 applications. They integrate electronic and hydraulic components into a single module for optimal driveability and durability. ACDelco TECHMs also includes the latest hardware, including a filter plate, solenoids and an upgraded frame. For a demonstration of the new ACDelco GM OE TECHM, be sure to stop by the ACDelco booth, 4409. ACDelco TECHMs feature these advantages over used and/or competi- tive products: All-new GM OE module for optimized fuel economy, the ability to download the latest calibration soft- ware for smoother shifts and better customer satisfaction and limited war- ranty of 12 months/12,000 miles, cov- ering both parts and labor. TECHM replacements in GM six- speed transmissions require Dexron VI transmission oil and additional parts depending on the application, such as seal kits and valve body cover gaskets. For customers whose GM six-speed automatic TECHM simply needs repro- gramming, ACDelco is making it easier for independent service centers to pro- vide this service and earn their cus- tomers' trust: Technicians can now use the ACDelco TIS2 Web program and an interface tool to flash the TECHM at their own facility. Distributors, PSC shops, and Key Fleets can purchase the MDI (Multi Diagnostic Interface) by calling 1-800-GMTOOLS or visiting gmdesolutions.com. The MDI part num- ber is #7001055G. ACDelco has released new Professional Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) bat- tery part numbers – 34AGM, 65AGM and 78AGM – designed for police cars, taxis and ambulances that demand greater power, vibration control, longer life expectancy and maintenance- free operation. AGM batteries also are designed to support vehicles equipped with new start-stop vehicle technology. ACDelco Professional AGM bat- teries leverage ACDelco's century of trusted battery technology expertise, and carry a 36-month free replacement warranty. They are totally maintenance free, and the electrolyte is held perma- nently in the glass mat separator instead of free flowing within each cell, making it 100 percent leakproof and spillproof. They also significantly reduce the loss of active mass attached to the grid by maintaining pressure on the plates, which results in a better battery life expectancy and eliminates acid stratifi- cation, a significant failure mode in flooded products. Oxygen-hydrogen recombination reduces water loss, and they deliver up to four times more cycle life than standard starting/light- ing/ignition batteries. There is a higher charge acceptance for quicker recharge, and it lasts longer in demanding applications because it is charge-receptive and high-cycling. ACDelco reminds customers that the procedure for charging AGM batter- ies is different than that for charging a conventional battery, and recommends checking the battery charger for an AGM setting. Battery location, settings, setting reset and charging procedures will all soon be available in the new ACDelco Electronic Battery catalog and electronic Battery Information Center. Stay tuned for updates when these catalogs are introduced. For all ACDelco parts, eligible members of the ACDelco Professional Service Center program offer additional consumer assurance including labor cov- erage and roadside assistance. For more information, visit b4409 at AAPEX, go online to www.acdelco.com or call 800-ACDelco.
