A f t e r m a r k e t D a i l y N e w s 1 7 W e d n e s d a y, N o v e m b e r 6 , 2 0 1 3 WEATHERTECH'S TECHFLOOR IS DURABLE, LONG-LASTING WeatherTech is best known for its premi- um automotive accessories, and the com- pany has developed a line of modular flooring (TechFloor™) with the same dedication to providing high quality, last- ing products. TechFloor is a testament to the innovative manufacturing process that WeatherTech strives to provide. First released two years ago, TechFloor launched onto the market with a revolutionary two-shot process tile that was an attractive option for flooring. TechFloor is designed to withstand daily wear and tear of virtually any floors, from garages to basements. To expand the options of the flooring to consumers, WeatherTech has now developed addi- tional tiles that work in tandem with the original TechFloor. TechFloor is now available in three separate tile types that can be used by themselves, or together for a variety of flooring configuarations. TechFloor Premium with TractionSquares™ is the first modular floor tile to offer two dis- tinctly different materials molded into one single tile. Premium offers an extreme- ly rugged and low profile polypropylene plastic tile with non-slip thermoplastic elastomer TractionSquares. TechFloor Solid with raised squares is a sturdy, solid polypropylene tile that fea- tures raised squares for traction and style. Smooth Surface tiles are made from a solid polypropylene and feature a flat, smooth surface design for a clean appear- ance. All styles of tiles work together, or alone, and are offered in vented versions for even more flooring choices. There are a total of six tile styles, five border com- ponents, and optional expansion pieces available to allow fast wall-to-wall installation without the need to cut or trim. TechFloor is easily assem- bled and disassembled by hand using a snap together loop and tab system. No professional installation or special tools are required. TAIL BONE FROM DALE ADAMS ENTERPRISES OFFERS COMFORT, STABILITY By Jeremy Adams, Director of Operations, Dale Adams Enterprises, Inc. Launched in late 2009, the all-American Tail Bone™ mechanic's seat is a com- plete reimagining of the concept. The Tail Bone uses features that make our Bone™ creepers so popular – namely the huge wheels mounted as far outboard as possible, to not only make it extremely difficult to tip over backwards, but also to be able to roll over obstacles. Our prod- ucts are made of quality materials for durability and long life. The first thing people notice when they see the Tail Bone is its size. Yes, it is big. But look at other mechanic's seats on the market; they are all tiny, usually with even tinier seats, and extremely tippy. They use cheap, dinky little wheels that get caught on even the smallest cracks in the floor. Many people simply give up on them in frustration and wind up squatting next to whatever they are working on – a killer on the knees and back! The Tail Bone uses its large size to be both com- fortable and stable. The large antique tractor-style seat was sized to fit all poste- riors, and the wide wheelbase on the naturally stable tri- pod platform gives you peace of mind from fears of top- pling over back- wards if you lean the wrong way. The tri- pod also places the leading wheel between your legs, allowing you to get closer to your work than other seats, as your feet tuck neatly under the chair. The seat is contoured to steer with your thighs: "Look ma, no hands!" The Tail Bone is designed to be per- fect for any low job you need to perform, from buffing side panels to changing brakes and inflating tires. It allows you to get up close and personal with your work. The huge wheels not only make it easier to get over rough floors and obsta- cles, but they also roll extremely easily. Other shop seats with big wheels use five instead of our three, which are simply two extra to get caught up on things. The extra wheels also make it more diffi- cult to roll in a straight line. The Tail Bone goes exactly where you want it to, when you want it to. Come see the Tail Bone in person and try it out for yourself at booth 10232 in the Tools & Equipment section. SCA TORK WIPERS BOOST SHOP PERFORMANCE By Tom Bergin, Marketing Director Industrial, Automotive. In automotive and industrial work envi- ronments, everything needs to perform at top efficiency, including wiping prod- ucts. Disposable wipers are an effective solution to boosting automotive business performance, due to their efficiency and purpose-built design. However, maintaining a high per- formance environment can be difficult, especially where the use of toxic sub- stances and heavy duty cleaning are required on a daily basis. Efficiency, effectiveness and safety are all important factors to consider, whether the tasks are found in an auto shop, factory or ware- house. The performance of a wiper is a crucial factor when choosing which solu- tion is appropriate for your work envi- ronment. Disposable wipers provide workers in the automotive industry with a range of capabilities. Wipers can be used for more than just wiping and cleaning sur- faces and equipment – they can be used to clean hands and other places in the workplace impacted by heavy labor. Having a fresh wiper when needed is cru- cial to avoid any contamination issues that may arise when working in a demanding environment. Unfortunately, there is continued prevalence of rental shop towels (RST) and textile rags despite the health and safety risks they may pose. RSTs are not as efficient, as they are not specifically designed for the task at hand, be it clean- ing glass, polishing or wiping up spills. Unlike disposable wipers, RSTs may also contain residue from previous users or industries, including contaminants such as metal shavings that can damage sur- faces or compromise employee safety (i.e. scratches, cuts, etc.). Even after the laundering process, RSTs may contain traces of heavy metals or other chemical contaminants. Rags are produced from recycled or reclaimed textiles that are often dirty and contain lint, zippers, buttons, sequins and other objects. Rags are never uniform in size. Workers often need to sort through the box to find a usable rag, wasting valuable time. Rags are made up of fab- ric scraps, second-hand clothing and tex- tile overruns. They were not designed specifically for industrial tasks, making their quality questionable for the various needs workers undertake each day. Tork ® , an SCA brand, has developed wipers created to meet the demanding tasks in the automotive industry. From heavy-duty to specialty cloths, Tork wipers offer superior quality and cost- saving dispensing solutions for a range of applications. Each wiper is clean and free from impurities and residues. Features include high absorbency, superior strength and low lint, and are specifically designed for a variety of tasks. Boosting your automotive business performance requires implementing solutions that do more. Try Tork wipers for free and find out how you can boost your automotive busi- ness performance. THERMALBLADE UNVEILS NEW BLADE DESIGN THERMALBLADE is an assembly-run operation, manufacturing patented heated silicone wiper blades. The com- pany took over manufacturing from the inventor out of Canada, who ordered 35,000 blades out of China and India. When they got to Canada, they turned out to be unusable. However, the con- cept of heated wiper blades looked to be a fantastic idea, and THERMAL- BLADE picked it up. THERMAL- BLADE products are proudly made in the United States. The installation of a THERMAL- BLADE is very basic. You hook it up to the ignition as a power source and that powers the thermometer, which will cause the heating element to acti- vate at the right temperatures when the car is on. The device is very safe as well – If the vehicle is running and it's below freezing, it will heat no matter what. If the temperature is high enough, the heating element will not turn on, saving energy and the main- taining the durability of the blade. Truck drivers have stated that when driving at 65-75 mph in snowy condi- tions, they would have to knock ice off the blade by hand, which is incredibly dangerous. With THERMALBLADE wiper blades, that becomes a non-issue. THERMALBLADE wiper blades are designed with safety in mind. One of THERMALBLADE's goals is to run the company differently from others. It treats both its customers and its workers with the utmost of respect. THERMALBLADE will be exhibit- ing a new design of blade at SEMA. The wire is completely hidden from view, giving it a very professional look. Limited amounts are available for imme- diate shipping. There will also be offer- ing a demo at the company's booth to show interested customers at the show how the THERMALBLADE works and why everyone should consider investing in a THERMALBLADE. For more information, visit booth 12285, go online to www.thethermalblade.com, call 570-946-4344 for ordering or email sales@thethermalblade.com.
