H a r d w a r e & H o u s e w a r e s R e v i e w W e d n e s d a y, M a y 8 , 2 0 1 3 1 2 Don't you hate power outages? Or, maybe you're working in a remote area without power for the day? In a society where power is abundant, we feel strand- ed when we don't have it. That is why the Sierra Wave® Solar Link 1000 TM Power Center made by Aervoe Industries, Inc. should be in everyone's home, cabin, office, farm, or job-box. The Solar Link 1000 is a powerful, yet portable, energy storage device capa- ble of providing more than 1,000 watt- hours of stored energy through standard 120V AC outlets, 12V DC outlets or USB outlets. Compared to gas generators, this unit is virtually silent, has zero emis- sions, lightweight, and easily energy renewed. Simply plug it in to standard 120V AC power to charge or using a solar panel or wind turbine it can be recharged even when electric power is unavailable. In order to achieve a lightweight and compact profile, Aervoe uses a highly advanced lithium iron phosphate, or LiFePo4 battery. These batteries weigh 1/7th of a similar capacity lead acid bat- tery, and about 1/5th the size. Although there is a higher up front cost, these bat- teries last six times longer than a lead acid battery. Another huge advantage is that they can be recycled or disposed of in every state. Sealed lead acid batteries have bans on their disposal in 38 states. You can expect stable pure sine wave inverter performance, a battery management system to regulate proper charging and discharging, built-in over voltage and self-discharge protection from the Solar Link 100, and the entire unit meets CE, FCC and EU low voltage specifications. The Solar Link will fully charge in about six hours using 120V electrical power or 10 hours using the Sierra Wave 120W Solar Collector. Once charged, use the power to operate a vari- ety of tools, lighting, a radio for emer- gency communication, laptop, home appliances, e.g. 100W refrigerator, 500W freezer, 1000W microwave, TV, etc. An appliance with a 10W draw will equal 100-plus hours of use and a 100W draw will equal 10 hours of use, on a fully charged unit and so on. Aervoe Industries, Inc., has been manufacturing its branded paint and chemical prod- ucts in its facility for more than 40 years. In 2010 Aervoe introduced and began manufacturing select electronic products under its safety products trademark, and in 2012 the Solar Link 1000 began production. Many more products will be added to the production schedule later this year. The family- owned company strives for zero defects and provides a full domestic one-year warranty, makes all of these items in the U.S.A., and supports a nationwide net- work of dealers and distributors to bring them to market. SOLAR LINK 1000 POWER CENTER FROM AERVOE INDUSTRIES: MADE IN THE U.S.A. Baking pizza at home will never be the same since the introduction of the new Italia Artisan Pizza Oven by Camp Chef. This easy-to-use accessory was designed after a true wood-fired brick oven and uses the same techniques to bake a delectable artisan pizza every time. Other options for cooking a home- made artisan pizza might involve an expensive wood-fired brick oven or something similar; however the Italia Artisan Pizza Oven is proof that there is an affordable alternative to enjoy world- class pizza in the backyard. "Cooking with the Italia Pizza Oven is comparable to cooking with a wood fire oven," said Jack Carlisle, Owner of Jack's Wood Fired Oven restaurant in Logan, Utah. "But now you can cook your own delicious pizza in a oven that's a fraction of the cost." The accessory is a fun, simple-to-use device that is set on top of a Camp Chef stove or an existing barbeque grill. It can be quickly heated to proper temperatures in approximately 15 minutes. The pizza oven will fit any Camp Chef 16-inch cooking systems. This summer Camp Chef will introduce a second model that will fit any 14-inch cooking systems. That means fresh artisan pizza can be enjoyed on the back patio, at the tailgate party, or wherever a Camp Chef stove can be taken. This small accessory is definitely big enough for the entire family. A 16- by-24 inch ceramic stone cooking sur- face promotes even heat and is large enough to cook two 10-inch pizzas at the same time. The dome-like shape design allows air to move around the oven where tem- peratures can reach up to 700 degrees. A built-in temperature gauge provides users with accurate temperature readings. For anyone who may be cooking a homemade pizza for the first time, there is no need to worry because an Italia Pizza Oven Cooking Guide that comes complete with recipes is included. For more information, visit booth 11111 at the National Hardware Show, go online to www.campchef.com, call 800- 650-2433, or email matta@campchef.com.
