ANALI DEBUTS NEW MOROCCAN-INSPIRED LINENS By Anna Barrett, Vice President of Sales, Anali, Inc In January 2013, at the New York International Gift Fair, we found suc- cess in our Chevron pattern. Our table linens were recognized with a Best New Product award, and our customers were ordering up the gorgeous graphic design. As I looked for inspirations for the summer markets, I knew we need- ed another graphic pattern to showcase in some great colors. A pattern I saw in everything, from rugs to furniture, was an inspiration from Moroccan tile work. I knew this was something we could create with the Anali flair. I designed our own Moroccan tile designs and will debut two: Casablanca and Tangier. For Casablanca, I chose bright colors that were inspired by the Atlantic coastal cities and colors, and for Tangier, I was inspired by our coast and the Pacific Ocean. So far, the feedback on the designs has been "love!" I am looking forward to hearing the response from shoppers at the New York Now Show in August. Since we make all of our products in our facility in Redmond, Wash., we have been having a lot of fun taking these pat- terns and applying them to our beautiful bed linens, using the fine fabrics sourced from our mill in Italy. We will also show- case them on our Turkish towels and linen guest towels, as well as making a statement on some beautiful custom table linens made on wide Italian linen as retailers look for outstanding products for the entertaining season. What is fabulous about our line is the customizing capabilities. We can offer a tablecloth or bed linen made just for a customer's table or mattress. Today, in the competitive world of online shop- ping, a consumer has unlimited resources for products at the tip of their fingers with online flash sites and big online retailers. For a brick and mortar store to win someone's business, it needs to offer something personal to the consumer, like personal customization that they cannot get on a website. With our line, you and your customer can make it as personal as ever. Provide us with your customer's mattress size and we will make the fitted sheet, flat sheet and duvet cover to fit perfectly on their bed. If we get their filler size, we will adjust the measure- ments of the duvet cover to fit exactly. I feel that once the customer receives that level of service, they will want to order their fine linens from the local brick and mortar and not from the Internet. They will want to invest in that personal touch. For more information, visit booth 2630, go online to www.ANALI.com, call 425- 577-0929 or email anna@anali.com. O C G S h o w D a i l y S u n d a y, A u g u s t 1 8 , 2 0 1 3 4 "How big is your family?" A great ques- tion for a large family of silver jewelry manufacturers. Voravudh Vorasubin is the second youngest in his family, but his company, Sasi Bon Jewelry, has kept five of his six siblings employed since its founding back in 1984 in Bangkok, Thailand. Many of Vudh's siblings have gone on to establish their own jewelry companies, and Vudh has several in-laws that have also gone into the silver busi- ness, establishing casting and manufac- turing businesses of their own. Today, Sasi Bon Jewelry sells to a global list of clients, from France to South Africa, from Australia to Italy. All in all, Vudh has more than 16 family members involved in the silver business – a truly big family of silver jewelry manufactur- ers. With his siblings running the busi- ness in Thailand, Vudh immigrated to the United States in 1986 and established a wholesale office, Solid Silver, Inc. Today, Solid Silver, Inc. is run by Vudh's daughter, Sirikaan, and her husband, Kevin. Sirikaan attended college at the Humboldt State University in California and was fascinated by the bead stores near the campus. Upon returning to the family business after college, Sirikaan established the brand Sosi B Jewelry to help distinguish their line of handcrafted beaded jewelry to go with their original line of casted silver pieces – rings, toe- rings, pendants, ear- cuffs, and earrings. As Sirikaan started to do more and more in the office, Vudh decided to move back to Thailand with his wife to take back over the designing and manufacturing from his siblings, who were nearing retirement age. Sosi B Jewelry gets all of its gorgeous neck- laces, bracelets, and earrings from its office in Thailand and wholesales them to retailers across the United States. Sirikaan's mom and sister design a large number of their beautiful creations in Thailand and Sirikaan also develops SOLID SILVER JEWELRY: MEET THE FAMILY LENOX MAKES GIFT-GIVING AND ENTERTAINING ELEGANT AND EASY Lenox presents gifts galore at this sum- mer's gift show.
