O C G S H O W D A I LY 4 1 S u n d a y, A u g u s t 1 4 , 2 0 1 1 OSD: Are you introducing any new products? JH: We are currently introducing a line of oven mitts that match our women's aprons. We think that matching oven mitts are a fun and unique way to add to the kitchen experience. We have also recently introduced a new line of aprons called the Marilyn line. OSD: Where is your current product emphasis? JH: Our current emphasis is on our newest Marilyn line. This apron is less expensive than our Original line, and it addresses the needs of women who want a lighter apron—an apron specifically for entertaining. Fortunately, this line has been enormously popular among our cus- tomers. We can barely keep them on the shelves. Flirty Aprons (Con't. from p. 1) OSD: What distinguishes your products from the competition? JH: We are the only designer apron on the market that is double layered. Also, our Original line of aprons has long and thick waist ties that allow our aprons to fit women of all sizes. Most women enjoy feeling sexy no matter what size they are. OSD: To what do you attribute your company's success? JH: We strive to develop new products for the customer. We seriously listen to all of our customers and we try and give them what they ask for. We never want to assume what our customers want. It also doesn't hurt that our products sell them- selves. People really want these aprons. It is wonderful! For more information, visit Flirty Aprons at booth 3568 and www.flirtyaprons.com. Born from an heirloom recipe, the original four flavors of all-natural Road Crew Crunch blend peanuts, pretzels and cereal, and liberally drench them in differ- ent flavors of chocolate: Asphalt (dark chocolate), Gravel (white chocolate), Mud (milk chocolate) and Sand (peanut butter). And, because even those with aller- gies get the munchies, Rex's Outrageous produces two gluten-free blends: Caution: Road Block Ahead and Hazard: Hands-Off! Both chocolate covered confectionery concoctions mix cashews, cranberries and cereal, saturating all in orange-infused dark chocolate and orange- infused milk chocolate, respectively. The newest chocolate concoction in the Road Crew Crunch line is Pothole. Pothole contains hemp nuts, raisins, peanuts, pretzels and cereal drenched in dark chocolate. Named after two of its ingredients (hemp for the pot and Cheerios for the hole), this spring seemed an apt time to release Pothole as it was the only thing to be seen in the roads of New England and the mid-Atlantic states! As the seasons change, so do the fla- vors of Road Crew Crunch. For the win- ter holidays, the Road Crew Crunch flavors include Mistle-Tow: a blend of Rex's Outrageous (Con't. from p. 1) pistachios, cranberries and cereal drenched in white chocolate and Black Ice: peanuts pretzels and cereal drenched in an organic spearmint/peppermint oil infused dark chocolate. As golf season arrives, so does Golfer's Goodies. Close cousins to the Road Crew Crunch line, both Divot and Sand Trap drive away any snack cravings while on the course. All flavors of Road Crew Crunch are available in 10-ounce bags for sharing (which no one ever does) and four-ounce individual sizes that are perfect for fitting all of the Road Crew Crunch flavors into a gift basket. Road Crew Crunch is also available to be private labeled for any occasion or organization. To dig into samples of Road Crew Crunch and to meet Rex, Rex's Outrageous can be found at booth num- ber 7477. Just look for the blinking yel- low construction lights and orange street signs. Dig in! scale of tropical flora. The original collection of plant pressings was sold to Hollywood's legendary art dealer JF Chen in 2005. Lachance began working with Argentine artist Eduardo Benitez two years later. Together, the couple has turned herbiers into a contemporary art form that never fails to capture atten- tion. From the smallest pieces of 9" x 14" to the largest 18' x 18', the artists play with size, creating astonish- ing pieces that delight and surprise. The striking, often haunting, repre- sentations of nature are revealed in the plant pressings. Even in the largest pieces, the finely detailed minutiae is gorgeous upon close examination. "It took more than a year to dry and mount a Water Lotus from Mauritius onto a hand- painted, 18-foot square board. The largest Lotus pods of the plant were more than three feet in diameter," explains Lachance. "The Water Lotus pressing was an amazing experience, from the point of harvest to completion. In India, the Water Lotus symbolizes rebirth, and the entire process created newness in every part of our life," exclaims Benitez. Along with showcasing their origi- nal work, The Lauren Lachance Collection is launching a collection of tropical orchid prints. "We want people to be able to see and appreciate the intricate and perfectly harmonized beauty of a flower," says Lachance. Scaled larger than life, the newly introduced tropical orchid prints high- light the exquisite beauty of these exotic flowers and gives interior designers a way to add big impact to any setting. Lachance and Benitez are passionate about plants. "We work for the sheer pleasure of being sur- rounded by plants and their healing energy," exclaims Lachance. The Lauren Lachance Collection has sur- passed both trend and time to create distinct works of art that carry an imprint and are instantly recognizable. Join them August 13-17 at booth 50038 at Pier 94/At Home to view their collection. Their contact number during the show is 505-699-0968. The couple currently reside in Austin, Texas with their two sons, Diego and Nicolas, and golden retriever, Conan. This simple yet rev- olutionary design allows sewing enthusi- asts of all ability levels to easily loop the thread onto the needle and begin sewing.
