The Matchbook pads are wonderfully colorful and will make charming little stocking stuffers! All of the pads are printed on paper containing 10 percent post-consumer waste. Of course, they are completely recy- clable. They are all individually sleeved in clear acetate. These little note pads are printed and assembled in Salt Lake City, Utah, proudly MADE IN THE U.S.A. A white wire counter display is available. It holds six each of sixteen notepads. This POP display only takes up an 8" x 8" spot on the counter. As a special offering, Bottman Design will sell the display for only $1.00 when a complete fill is ordered! In this economy, buyers are looking for some little item to brighten their day or stuff someone's stocking. These Matchbook Notes are just that item. Bottman Designs (Con't. from p. 1) produce and design our products using three criteria as our guide: create prod- ucts that promote giving, well-being and pay respect to our planet. We launched this past January 2011 at the NYIGF and we were thrilled at the positive response to our products. OSD: Can you give us examples your three criteria? JM: Sure, all of our gift products touch upon at least one of the criteria, for example our Blessings Boxes for Wedding, Baby, Home, Birthday and Healing are intended to help celebrate or support a loved one in a more meaning- ful way. They contain everything needed to create an opportunity for friends and family to send a blessing, a wish or to share a special memory with a loved one. Our 'i am' collection of bracelets, can- dles & pens is about positive affirmations through a unique combination of words, colors and scents. Our 'made with love' bamboo tabletop collection turns a salad bowl into more than just a salad bowl. Guardian Stones are about kids & tweens empowering themselves in a fun and imaginative way. We strive to look for the green route ... meaning, using products that are eco-friendly such as bamboo, recycled paper, PLA products and using local sup- pliers where we can. We're learning as we go but it's our intention to support our planet in any way we can. OSD: Many of your ideas are quite unique, how do you come up with them? JM: Well, it's funny you ask ... it's hard to explain. All I know is the ideas just seem to come. I think it has to have something to do with my strong desire to make a positive difference in the world, especially with having a positive impact on people. I want more than anything to offer products that inspire people to gain a strong sense of self and that they're loved, supported and special. I can't tell you how much I smile when I get orders for 'i am' Strong, 'i am' Fierce or 'i am' Beautiful products. I've actually been moved to tears from an order, it means everything to me that our products can make a positive impact. OSD: How did you conceive the overall look of your products and packaging? JM: I think having an Interior Design background has a lot to do with the over- all look and design, I'm strongly influ- enced by my design aesthetic which is clean lines, fresh, modern-chic with vibrant splashes of color! To learn more about Pure Designs For Living, stop by NYIGF General Gift booth 1654. Pure Designs for Living (Con't. from p. 1) RevolveR (Con't. from p. 18) keep your memories then sketch plans for the future―all within a single book. While developing a book about the space-time continuum, Ellen Dudley was inspired to create a journal that could revolve around it's own spine, symbolizing the endlessness of time. The "aha" moment came while working with card- board and glue at the kitchen table of a log cabin in the Catskill Mountains, using a Jacob's ladder toy as inspiration. To turn the RevolveR journal inside out, you open it, fold it all the way back, split the spine, and fold it back again to reveal a completely different cover that opens to a new first page; two covers, two sets of pages, two beginnings, end- less possibilities. The RevolveR Journal-ECO is crafted with 100-percent recycled paper and an FSC-certified cover material in two sizes and four color combinations. 64 lined pages revolve to 64 blank pages. One minute you're making a To-Do List on your way into the office, the next minute you're sketching lovers lounging in the park. The slightly larger RevolveR Sketch comes in four different color combinations. Geared toward students, artists and crafters, the RevolveR Sketch flips from 80 pages blank to 80 pages of a dot grid. The Book has Evolved. Now you CAN have it both ways―to write/to sketch, to organize/to improvise, to ana- lyze/to visualize, to do/to doodle. Satisfy Both Sides of Your Brain! Visit our website www.revolver boundbooks.com or stop by booth 2444 to see the RevolveR in motion. complete custom designs with very low minimums and no set up charges. Some of their top products include towels, pil- lows, coasters, wine accessories and baby gifts that range from fun and witty sayings to elegant and traditional décor. Catherine shares her background and inspiration, thusly: "My parents migrated here from Argentina and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to receive an excellent education in the U.S. My undergraduate degree is in Illustration, and I also hold a Masters Degree in Fine Arts, specifically in Academic Portrait Painting. To be able to afford my school- ing, I started my business." Catherine continues, "My designs often have a clas- sical, European style with a witty edge. I am also influenced by nature, textiles and—above all—by my travels." Retailers are attracted to Mariash Studios because of their selection and clever products. Specialty retailers love that Mariasch Studios can create just about anything to fit their theme, destina- tion, occasion, corporate gift and event, or tourist attraction. "Our customers have become fans," says Catherine. Realizing the importance of provid- ing products made in the U.S.A., Mariasch Studios continues to respond to this growing trend. "We have always been proud to say that our products are made in the U.S.A. You'd be surprised at how competitive we are, since we buy our raw materials here and don't have to warehouse product. We pass those sav- ings on to our customers," says Catherine. "I am thrilled to be creating U.S. jobs and giving back to the country that has given me so much." Mariasch Studios can accomodate retailers looking for a new direction in products, as well as those looking for products in catergories in which they already do well. If cutomers wish to tell a story with a particular theme, such as wine, beach, lake, pets, Paris, botanicals, roosters, etc. ...
