OCGSD: Tell our readers about your company. What's the story behind the name? CF: PARTNERS was founded 20 years ago when my mother, Marian Harris, realized the crackers she made to partner her homemade soups and salads were a hit. She whipped up a batch of crackers, hand-delivered them to eight different stores, and received orders from all eight stores. When the business took off, she recruited my brother, Greg Maestretti, and myself to keep up with the compa- ny's growth. Today, our company pro- duces more than 30 different types of all- natural crackers that partner well with soups, salads, cheeses and more. We also produce all-natural granola that partners well with fruit and yogurt, and all-natural cookies that partner well with ice cream, coffee and tea. OCGSD: What distinguishes your snack products from the competition? CF: From the beginning, we have always focused on providing unique, all- natural, high-quality products to the mar- ketplace. While many of our competitors use artificial flavors, colors, or sweeten- ers to make their products more appeal- ing, we focus on using the freshest, least- processed, all-natural ingredients avail- able. For example, instead of using dried garlic powder for flavor, we start with fresh whole garlic cloves and roast it in- house ourselves. All our products are also certified kosher and contain no hydrogenated oils or preservatives. OCGSD: Which products are you featuring at this year's show? CF: This year we're extremely excited to debut our new gluten- free line, Free for All Kitchen. We've spent the last three years perfecting our recipes so that we can deliver a gluten-free cracker that doesn't compromise on taste, nutrition, or quality. Unlike many gluten-free products that consist of empty calorie rice fillers, our gluten-free crackers are made from a five ancient grain blend of amaranth, quinoa, millet, sorghum, and teff. We decided to produce these crackers in our popular hors d'oeuvre cut so that everyone will have an elegant, delicious, worry-free option to serve to all of their guests. These ancient grain crackers are available in three of PARTNERS most popular fla- vors: Roasted Garlic & Rosemary, Olive Oil & Sea Salt, and Olive Oil & Herb. OCGSD: Are you featuring anything other than the gluten-free line? CF: We are also featuring our Gourmet Artisan Deli Crackers at the show. Designed specifically for the deli section, these large, rus- tic hors d'oeuvre crackers make an exceptional looking platter for entertaining. They are available in cellophane wrapped deli trays in three of our top-selling flavors: Roasted Garlic & Rosemary, Olive Oil & Sea Salt, and Everything & More. We invite everyone to drop by our booth, 3820, to get more information about our products and try both lines of these delicious, all-natural, hors d'oeuvre crackers. The instant success of these new pret- zel products lies in their original popular- ity as a soft pretzel which can now be used to create interesting and flavorful sand- wiches. The versatility of these new prod- ucts can carry ingredients ranging from Angus burgers, to pulled pork, to grilled vegetables, Philly cheese steak, and any number of other delicious creations to make meals fun and delicious. As a bread and pretzel expert, we have naturally evolved to become a knowledge- able sandwich resource, that's why we offer pre-packaged, pre-sliced breads and rolls in a variety of flavors, styles and sizes. The pre-packaging and slicing helps to reduce labour and waste.
