From these family roots, the business philosophy and vision have blossomed. Eagle began operations in the fall of 1989 with one high-pressure concrete tile extrusion machine. Today, Eagle's Rialto, Calif. facility is the largest in North America. Strategies may come and go, but a strong company culture defines the soul of an organization. At Eagle, the culture emphasizes service: to the team member, customer and supplier. Over the years, Eagle has grown due to a philosophy that revolves around growing personal relationships. Eagle's long experience in the roof tile industry and dedication to prompt personal response to its customers' needs have resulted in a well-deserved reputation for quality and service. This reputation has been honed over the past quarter-century through the owner's commitment to making Eagle a great place to work. The company's employee turnover is incredibly low, and what is most impressive is their ability to hire engaged, dedicated employees. Doing so has facilitated Eagle's goal of providing industry-leading customer engagement. Lane Carroll, Senior Sales Representative, was hired 25 years ago as Eagle Roofing's first sales representative. He has not worked for any company since, nor has he ever considered leaving what he calls the ELEVATE AND DIFFERENTIATE WITH WHOLE HOME AUDIO By Walter Zerbe, Product Manager, NuVo & On-Q, Legrand A home is more than just a building. It's the accumulation of a thousand other details that add up to a family feeling safe and secure, comfortable and enjoying their life within their own personal space. It is often these particular features that can set a house apart and differentiate you as a builder. One such differentiating detail is home audio. Wanting music in the home is an increasingly popular demand, and there is no shortage of options: Bluetooth speakers, Airplay, full homerun wired systems, wireless hybrid systems and more. But for builders looking to provide their customers with whole home audio that offers the perfect blend of depend- ability, convenience and flexibility in the latest listening options? Well, then the options become fewer. From conception, the NuVo Audio System was developed to answer those specific demands, while maintaining a simplicity that makes it easy to install and use. Starting with a unique modular design that lets a system be custom-built one zone at a time, this solution delivers the highest quality music to up to 16 simultaneous zones. Comprised of a series of interchangeable and compatible zone players, the system connects to a home's network for instant access to personal digital libraries, including all of your iTunes content, while also accessing popular online streaming services such as Pandora, Rhapsody and SiriusXM. The NuVo Gateway ties the system together, person. No portion of the project is delegated to employees, outside draftsmen, etc." How Architectural Designs (www.architecturaldesigns.com) embraces extraordinary: "We're coming off a record year and are off to a great 2014. "Eagle family." Carroll recalls feeling the job offer was an extraordinary opportunity, so he packed up his wife, moved them from their first new home, across the country, and started his position within two weeks. "A lot of what intrigued me was the family rapport of the Burlingames, even when interacting with their employees at headquarters," Lane said. "The owner and senior staff had this noticeable nurturing character and wanted to mold young people and help us along as we needed direction." When asked what it was like to work for such a new company, Carroll said, "As we were just getting the tile plant up and running, we made plenty of mistakes trying to create products. We had inconsistent colors, inaccurate mixes, you name it. But what always pulled us through is everyone inherently knowing Eagle was there to handle the problems." Eagle's visions, values and objectives are a written code of sorts, explaining the "whats, hows and whys" of the company's customer-driven philosophy. "When we published the VVOs, those ideas had already become second-nature to us. We had heard them so many times from the owners and presidents," Lane said. "When we have a problem, it becomes our priority and we confront things right up front. It was great to see it in writing as something that would hold through to the future, and become our company's written philosophy for generations to come. The Burlingames do not compromise their values, and that is why I have stayed with thv family for 25 years." connecting directly to a home's router and managing all the wireless communication between the players, while free intuitive and aesthetic apps allow customers to use the devices they already love to control the home's music systems from the palm of their hand.
