operations VST's Green Machine Fuel Station Technology Eliminates Air, Water Contamination For years, Vapor Systems Technology, Inc. has dedicated itself to the development and testing of products for clean air and water technologies, working to control the release of fugitive Volatile Organic Compound emissions at fuel stations. Fugitive VOC emissions are a main contributor to ground-level ozone and ground water contaminations. Today, the company's Green Machine is the newest generation of equipment designed to capture and reduce the release of fugitive VOC gasoline vapors as well as to monitor tank pressure profiles. VST's Green Machine, the company's newest tank pressure management equipment for both underground and aboveground storage tanks, is available in two styles: Part number VST-GMCS1-100 is designed for the California Enhanced Vapor Recovery market and carries California Air Resources Board certification. This model serves to elim- inate fuel station shut downs due to tank over-pressurization. In addition, it provides clean air and generates a positive cash flow from reduced vent emissions, thus paying for itself over time. It mates with the Veeder-Root TLS350 automatic tank gauge. Part number VST-GM-CS2-101 is a turnkey stand-alone tank pressure management and monitoring system that can be installed at any gasoline station in the world. Green Machine model may be installed in conjunction with any type of forecourt equipment, as well as with any tank gauge system that has overfill recognition capability. Both styles of VST's Green Machine allow for a simple, low cost installation on a single vent stack. They feature a small footprint design and flexible mounting options designed for roof, ground, canopy or vent stack rack. Green Machine is designed to improve the en- vironment with maximum safety, while at the same time paying for itself through the fugitive VOC gasoline vapors it captures and contains. With a suggested retail price under $12,000, most fuel stations will experience payback in less than a year. VST recently announced that Green Machine has earned multiple industry approvals: First, Edison Testing Laboratories issued its safety approval rating. Second, TÜVRheinland® certified the product as having greater than 99 percent efficiency. And third, California Air Resources Board issued Green Machine its certification for enhanced vapor recovery. "Over the past three years of listening to our clients in Mexico and the United States, they had expressed a need for a visual merchandiser that effectively displayed warm fresh tortillas. Our clients required that it be well lighted, temperature controlled, [have] the ability to retain the moisture in the tortillas and be energy efficient," said Max Calva, Director of Operations for CSCAMEX in Latin America. CSCAMEX worked with popular tortilla producer Mission Foods in developing this newest piece of equipment, thoroughly testing the merchandiser in Mission Foods' labs with its New Tradicionales brand of fresh tortillas. The testing process took one month to complete. During the testing, the T-01 merchandiser was repeatedly proven to merchandise the tortillas as desired—warm, moist and fresh. Several major supermarket chains, both in the United States and Mexico, have already placed orders for the new T-01 tortilla merchandiser. "We look forward to helping these su- permarket chains increase their tortilla sales while reducing their shrinkage," said Chip Aschinger, President and CEO of CSCAMEX. CSCAMEX has over 70 years in experience of working collaboratively with the world's leading retailers, creating innovative merchandising fixtures and ensuring a positive return on investment. The company has operations in both the United States and Mexico, with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, and sales and manufacturing operations in Mexico.
