Although beautiful and elegant, traditional candles can cause devastating home fires. In fact, recent figures from the U.S. Fire Administration show that there are more than 15,000 candle fires each year. LD: Dunn concentrates on products that help store owners promote their sales and products. What would you say makes your company unique? HHR: Tell our readers about your company. What do you sell? DW: We are a family-owned business that has been manufacturing and marketing our branded products for more than 40 years. In that time we started as a paint and chemical manufacturing company and through the years we have grown into a single source supplier of many items our industrial customers need including constructions safety products and portable power centers for emergency and off-grid power. HHR: What was the most significant event affecting your company in the past year? CW: We sell mirrors, both magnified make-up mirrors and large bathroom mirrors. Aptations provides the most beautiful and innovative mirrors available for the finest homes and residences on the planet. We are proud to say that we provide world-class products, innovative choices and a distinctive experience. HHR: What distinguishes you from the other mirror companies out there? DW: 2012 was all about 'Made In U.S.A.' In 2011, we made the strategic decision to bring some of the products we were currently sourcing from China to manufacture in our Gardnerville, Nev., factory. In CW: Several things. First, our styling runs from uniquely minimalist to classic, traditional silhouettes. We were one of the first to adopt LED lighting into our mirrors and we continue to lead the way in using this wonderful new technology.
