Convenience Retailer Show Daily Friday, October 4, 2019 1 8 The WEH TK17 CNG Fueling Nozzle for Single-Handed Operation Dominates World Markets The TK17 CNG fueling nozzle for cars is today's world market leader providing outstanding ease of operation. It has been winning customers from all over the globe for more than 10 years now. Maximum safety, reliability and operator convenience are all given top priority by WEH ® design engineers when developing new products. The WEH culture of high quality then extends to the workmanship and exclu- sive use of high-grade materials. The natural result of this philosophy is a highly durable unit with minimal main- tenance and downtime whilst providing optimal operator safety. Operation is single-handed and very simple. Just remove the fueling nozzle from the dispenser mounting and engage it to the receptacle. An integrat- ed swivel joint facilitates handling and allows for the fueling nozzle to be turned to the best position for comfortable fueling. Retract the actuation lever for filling to begin. The gas will only flow through the fuel line if a safe and pres- sure-tight connection is established. When filling is finished, the fueling nozzle can be disconnected once pressure venting of the system is complete. Thanks to extremely high flow rates, vehicle refueling is fast and efficient. The filling procedure can be safely and easily interrupted or ter- minated at any time. The nozzle is designed to pre- vent accidental use outside its prede- termined pressure range. Visual codes are used to distinguish nozzle types. Those designed exclusively for 3,000 psi/200 bar are coded black whilst those for 3,600 psi/250 bar are coded yel- low. Consolidated Rewards Points from Multiple Issuers Equals More Cents Off per Gallon Currently 29 percent of consumers choose their gas station based on their rewards program. Typically those rewards have been based on in-house programs and cooperative programs with grocery. Midax has been a leading serv- ice provider of these programs for almost 20 years. What about the other 71 per- cent? Rewards points are now part of every retailer's marketing tool deck; also banks, credit cards, utilities, hospitality, airlines: silo after silo of points, so useful in their own right for one consumer or another, others wasting away unused. Because of that, organizations have popped up to consolidate these silos (at significant cost to the consumer), so Midax is stepping up to the plate to solve that problem, 2019 marks the year when Midax embraces many more channels that issue rewards into its own points aggregator, to channel those points into cents off at the pump. Grocery-driven rewards that turn into discounted gas at the c-store have made a significant impact on where the consumer gasses. But grocery is not the endgame. It is the begin- ning. This new feature set complements those which have separated Midax from its competition over many years: in- house club programs; cigarette e-coupon- ing issuance, redemption and reporting, where it enables c-stores to share and be paid for their loyalty data; redemption with grocery partnerships for cents off gas at the pump; pay with points pro- grams, for example casino player points are turned into currency at the pump; pay with points integration with QSR and other services at truck stops; and, sup- ported by texting, emailing and mobile app push rewards. Linked to its in-house payment sys- tems for fleet card, ACH card, pre-paid fleet and gift cards, all are geared to reduc- ing the cost of payment processing for the retailer: one card for payment and loyalty! Consolidating rewards at the c-store and truck stop with rollback at the pump and pay by points inside the store, is Midax's committed direction, using wherever possible third party rewards sources so whatever you buy, wherever you buy it, the fuel dispenser is where you collect your rewards.
