Coppola joined the association in the fall of 2014, spearheading the organi- zation's marketing and communica- tions efforts. "When Mary joined our team, we asked her to take on two major tasks," said United Fresh President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Stenzel. "First, she focused on growing the association's mar- keting and communications capacity to de- liver targeted messaging to our members and broader fresh produce industry. "Equally important, Mary also took on the role of staff liaison to the association's Produce Marketing & Merchandising Council, a group of 45 leading marketing professionals from our member companies. Working with these volunteer leaders, Mary has helped create a strong profes- sional community of produce marketers that is helping our industry bring great new products to consumers around the world," he said. The Produce Marketing & Mer- chandising Council is known for organizing and hosting Brand- Storm™, the industry's premiere interactive learning and profes- sional development event for pro- duce marketers. The fourth annual BrandStorm conference took place in San Francisco in February. "Congratulations to Mary on this great and well-earned career step," said Mark Munger, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, 4Earth Farms and Chairman of United Fresh's Produce Marketing & Merchandis- ing Council. GN United Fresh Promotes Mary Coppola to Vice President, Marketing & Communications Now in its 15th year, the Oregon Cheese Festival is a farmer's market style event cel- ebrating cheese and everything that goes with it. Over the years it has grown into one of the largest cheese-themed festivals in the country – drawing artisan cheese- makers, vintners, brewers, and specialty food producers to showcase their products to an ever-growing crowd of cheese enthu- siasts. This year's event will take place March 16 and 17 in an expanded location, spanning north from the traditional venue at Rogue Creamery to the newly refurbished Crater- Works MakerSpace on Front Street in Cen- tral Point, Oregon. Alongside cheeses from Rogue Creamery, Face Rock Creamery, Cypress Grove, Spring Brook Farm Cheese and many more, festivalgoers will sample specialty foods such as charcuterie, jams and jellies, olive oil, honey, chocolate, breads and crackers, pickled vegetables, nuts and more. To wash it all down, more than 30 craft wine, beer, cider, and spirits producers will be pouring libations for the crowd. In total there will be more than 100 Oregon and other Northwest culinary artisans & beverage providers. New in 2019, at- tendees will have the added advantage of complimentary parking at Crater High School, just one block north of the Festival. An FFA-sponsored stu- dent fair featuring students and the animals they have raised, along with a student-led plant sale, will also take place adjacent to the parking area during Festival hours. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 and include tastings and demonstrations; day-of ticket purchases are $20. Tickets are available for sale at www.oregonchesefesti- val.com, along with an optional $10 adult beverage tasting add-on that includes a commemorative tasting glass. Kids 12 and under taste for free. Early VIP entry (10:30 a.m.) is an additional $15 and includes a goodie bag. The Oregon Cheese Festival would not be possible without the generous support of the City of Central Point, Rogue Cream- ery, Tillamook, Face Rock Creamery, Wan- dering Aengus/Anthem Cider, Rogue Ales, 34 Degrees, Franz Bakery, Southern Oregon Magazine, Rosebud Media/Mail Tribune, and the members of the Oregon Cheese Guild.
