The district is made up of about 20,000 students and continues to grow due to the arrival of companies open- ing new distribution centers in the area. To address that need and help stu- dents realize the full portrait of a grad- uate characteristics, the district wrote a lengthy and detailed technology-cen- tered Future Ready plan. What that looked like as part of their plan was a space – a lab – within each of the dis- trict's elementary schools where teach- ers could use coding, engineering, robotics and more to enable students to move forward as critical thinkers and innovators.
