Oser Founder Consumer Electronics Daily News Friday, January 11, 2019 4 SecuGen Unveils U10-SF, the World's Smallest Programmable Fingerprint Module, at Show SecuGen, a world leading optical finger- print device and technology vendor, is pleased to announce that it is unveiling the U10-SF fingerprint module at CES. The U10-SF is an ultra-slim stand- alone fingerprint sensor module designed for OEMs and developers to embed into a wide variety of hardware products that require fingerprint biometric functionali- ty. It comes preloaded with SecuGen's Fingerprint Management System soft- ware that allows it to be used right out of the box to capture fingerprint images, extract templates, enroll, search and match fingerprints all in one device. The U10-SF hardware is FBI certi- fied for use in FIPS 201 PIV and Mobile ID FAP 10 applications. The template extraction and matching algorithms run- ning on the device are NIST MINEX cer- tified. The core of the U10-SF sensor mod- ule is the U10 – a rugged, high image quality optical fingerprint sensor com- bined with a Single Board Computer that contains a 1 GHz CPU, a fully pro- g r a m m a b l e Linux system, SecuGen's fin- gerprint matching SDK and OpenSSL Cryptographic libraries. All of this is integrated into one compact package almost identical in size to the ultra-slim U10 itself. The U10-SF provides the tools and technologies that allow for the rapid and efficient development of a wide variety of embedded fingerprint solutions where high quality, rugged design and Alpha Guardian: Investing in People and Products By Ashlee Campbell, Marketing Consultant, Alpha Guardian A variety of factors are contributing to a rise in secure storage needs across all U.S. households.
