Aftermarket Daily News 6 3 Thursday, November 1, 2018 You.i TV Announces Release of You.i Engine One 4.6 Featuring Remote Asset Management You.i TV announced a new version of its You.i Engine One platform that includes remote asset management and other fea- tures that can spur faster, better and more monetizable video app experiences for media companies worldwide. Release 4.6 has been created to fur- ther increase the ability of developers and designers to build and personalize video interfaces across platforms, and to enable greater opportunities for branded content. A key new feature, Remote Assets, allows developers to configure applica- tions to retrieve all UX elements, includ- ing layout, styling and motion, dynami- cally from a server. Designers can export screen updates through the You.i Engine One After Effects Workflow and deploy changes to market without recertifica- tion. This provides brand leaders with the speed and flexibility required to deploy custom redesigns, branded moments or sponsorships consistently across all screens. In addition, source-code for flexible cross-platform app accelerators, contain- ing pre-built user flows and UX tem- plates to support SVOD, AVOD and TVE business models are readily available. Developers will now have full access to the following features: Improved flexibility for native platform and web user interface inte- grations on mobile devices. Developers can now use native plat- form user interface controls within You.i Engine One interfaces and apply decorations to augment embedded webviews, providing end users with a natural experience for embedded native widgets, such as Twitter, or web based content. The most commonly used user inter- face components have been improved to give application designers and develop- ers greater flexibility and control over app elements, including animations, focus and data modelling. A redesigned cross-platform build system that simplifies the management and inclusion of dependencies, and pro- vides developers with additional flexibil- ity to automate application pipelines and introduce more testing. Improved custom debugging tools for rendering performance, focus and layout. C++ 11 compatible libraries, giving developers more flexibility around the kinds of technologies they want to include in their application, and greater design options. "The product enhancements announced today are a direct result of intense collaboration with our cus- tomers around a shared vision of the video landscape," says Jason Flick, Chief Executive Officer and co- Founder of You.i TV. "We're thrilled to help lay the groundwork for both app experience and business model innova- tion at pace." Natural Solutions: Berry Sleepy and Berry Awake By James Lacey, Chief Executive Officer As the chief executive officer of Berry Sleepy, my nine years of starting and running Crunchies Natural Snack Company brings a unique transferable skill set of running all disciplines from manufacturing to retail execution. My entrepreneurial and large company executive experience brings both inno- vation and structure to up-and-coming small to midsize companies and brands. In 2014, Greg Doring and his wife, Adrienne, couldn't sleep with the rapid expansion of their family and work- related activities. They took it upon themselves to come up with a solution and created Berry Sleepy, an innovative and healthy way to sleep without the side effects of prescription and over-the- counter medications. Others then joined the company for the same reason as the Dorings. After setting up the foundation, I was added to their team because I was looking for sleeping solutions that were natural like Berry Sleepy. Our team in 2018 upgraded the formula of the berry- based sleep aid and added two new delivery systems, including a liquid shot. During our research over the last year, we saw the same need in the ener- gy category as we witnessed in the sleep category. The research results were overwhelmingly in favor of a natural product that had the same efficiency and performance as the unhealthy energy products on the market today. We found that 60 percent of consumers would pur- chase the new Berry Awake shot if it were available. Berry Sleepy is made up of a propri- etary sleep and relax- ation blend of all-nat- ural tart cherries, pas- sion fruit, goji berries and valerian root extract. The base of this formula is all berries, with prebiotics to aid in replacing and healing cells in the digestive tract. Berry Awake, the natural energy shot, is made up of a proprietary energy blend of green coffee berries extract, guarana seed extract, bacopa leaf extract and ginseng. In addition, we have added pea protein to aid your ener- gy boost for the day. All Berry Sleepy and Berry Awake products are kosher, non-GMO, vegan, gluten free and made in the USA. We will be featured on "Modern Living with Kathy Ireland" and Fox Sports, among others, and will be aired globally. Berry Sleepy and Berry Awake represent a unique opportunity from Baby Boomers to Millennials. As most aging Baby Boomers have noticed, snoring and lack of sleep are associated with the development of chron- ic diseases, linked to family stresses and pressure in today's environment. Berry Sleepy's natural ingredients provide the consumer with a high-quality sleep aid with no side effects. We are providing this product in veg caps and liquid shots, all easy delivery methods. Millennial con- sumers are looking for a healthy, natu- ral alternative to energy-boosting prod- ucts that they can consume daily. Millennials have driven the coffee and energy segment into high-growth cate- gories, but they are looking for natural products that have the effect of coffee and energy products without the side effects. We provide this with great-tast- ing Berry Awake. Look for our products at many national retailers and at www.berrysleepy.com. Lock America – Fighting Back Against Skimming Attacks on Petroleum Dispensers Lock America of Corona, California manufactures high security retrofit lock systems that combat the installation of gas dispenser skimming devices. Building on more than 35 years provid- ing security products to dozens of indus- tries, Lock America has developed kits that fit virtually every brand and model of dispenser on the market. This high security system is based on a non-dupli- catable key with more than three million possible key codes, and a virtually pick- proof detainer disk keyway. Each Lock America customer gets its own key code, with multiple codes and master keying available for multi-site operations. Petro Defense of Zephyr Hills, Florida is the exclusive U.S. distributor for Lock America's gas dispenser locks. Petroleum dispensers are under nationwide attack. Despite the indus- try's best efforts, gas dispenser skim- ming devices are being discovered at an ever-increasing rate (at least 15 inci- dents in the last year). This level of suc- cessful skimming may have been going on for years under everyone's noses. Because the petroleum industry dead- line for the new "chip and pin" card sys- tem has been extended to October 2020, gas dispensers will remain targets of opportunity for the international identity theft industry. For a few years, the industry has placed its hopes on security stickers to indicate tampering – a solution based on a lot of hope. Will the stickers be applied properly? Will they be properly main- tained? Will low wage employees monitor their condition? Will customers even notice that stickers are cut or "voided," or know what to do? If this weren't enough, according to the FBI, skim- mer gangs have begun cov- ering their tracks by installing counterfeit stickers, and probably buying legitimate ones as well. Operators need more than stickers and an eagle-eyed minimum wage attendant. They need high security locks as a minimum first step to keep skimming devices out. For most opera- tors, it is cost-prohibitive to fit dispensers with a new electronic high security device, or replace them entirely, unless they are opening a new site. Only one device stops the skimmer and maximizes your security investment – the pick-resistant lock on the door with a high security key. The other devices – stickers, cameras, alarms – may deter, record and announce crime, but they don't stop it. Stickers don't stop skimming. They just tell you: "You've been skimmed." With hand- assembled locks, reg- istered key codes unique to each cus- tomer and non-duplicatable key blanks, Lock America retrofit kits can protect dispensers against unauthorized access at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. A high security lock system should have a non-duplicatable key blank, millions of usable key combinations and a virtually pick-proof mechanism, with its key code registered exclusively to the customer.
