Oser Founder Convenience Retailer Show Daily Wednesday, October 10, 2018 4 WEH Breakaway Couplings for Increased Safety During CNG Refueling Thanks to the continuous extension of the CNG filling station network for self-ser- vice operation, refueling with natural gas is enjoying increasing acceptance. The requirements demanded of com- ponents for CNG filling stations are very stringent in terms of safety, reliability and functionality. This is where WEH ® breakaway couplings can offer a substan- tial additional safety factor at CNG fill- ing stations. In the event of accidental deploy- ment, e.g. driving a vehicle from the dis- penser with the nozzle remaining in the vehicle fuel port, the breakaway coupling cuts off the connection between the dis- penser and the CNG hose in a controlled manner. Both ends of the break are sealed by the breakaway mechanism, preventing any natural gas from escaping into the environment. This ensures the highest possible level of safety for the operator, but also guarantees that service station components are protected from damage. The mechanism prevents damage to the vehicle fueling receptacle, the fueling nozzle and the dispenser as far as practi- cally possible. WEH provides a number of differ- ent breakaway cou- plings for private car filling stations as well as bus and truck filling stations, both for direct installation between the dispenser and filling/recirculation hoses and for inline breakaway couplings for installation between the filling and recirculation hoses. WEH breakaway couplings conform to the ANSI NGV CSA standard. In addi- tion to the requirements of the CSA stan- dard, WEH has added another safety fea- ture to its breakaway couplings by fitting Lancer's TwinPour – Pour Better Drinks, Pour More Profits Lancer introduces the new TwinPour™ beverage dispenser that enables double the pouring capacity in the same amount of time as a single pour. Twice the cus- tomers. Twice the ice choices. Twice the pour rate. TwinPour has the capability to serv- ice multiple customers and increase traf- fic flow. Where other dispensers only serve one customer at a time, the TwinPour serves two from its two dis- pensing areas, each with their own ability to pour custom flavors. The Lancer TwinPour has a large capacity ice bin that reliably dispenses two ice types at the same time, or just provides more ice. Lancer's proprietary FluidicFlow™ valves ensure there is no flavor transfer for the best possible drink. With two cus- tomers pouring at the same time, the 44- inch TwinPour satisfies double the con- sumers in less space than a traditional beverage dispenser, allowing customers to get their beverages twice as fast. Thirsty customers can choose between 24 beverage brands and four bonus flavors, creating over 266 flavor combinations. Merchandising space is optimized as well. The stan- dard merchan- diser allows for 30 inches of LED lite space or you can upgrade to a 32-inch LCD merchandiser with full HD video capa- bilities. The new FlavorTouch™ feature makes it easier for customers to utilize both pour points at the same time for bet- ter speed of service.
